I don't know if Obama is a communist or was influenced by reading Lennin and Marxx or having known communist Frank Davis as his personal mentor and friend. Obama's vison for the United States to share it's wealth with the world sure sounds communistic to me. Our government already has wsome socialistic programs. If Obama is elected and establishes more won't that tip the scale away from the freedom of capitalism and democracy toward socialism?
Just asking

I don't know about your state, but in mine, the Republicans who voted for a Democratic candidate all told me the same thing: "I'm voting for Clinton because McCain has a better chance of beating her than Obama." There were also over 210,000 Republicans who cast a Democratic ballot in Texas and Ohio combined, and something tells me they were of the same mentality.

Ok bury your head in the sand and we will lose in November. Mark my words: If Obama wins the nomination the Repubs will paint him with a liberal paintbrush. They will have plenty of historical information to link him to the Communist party as well. That will be the death knell for Obama's chances.
The party is deeply split now and it may get bloody by the time the convention rolls around. The party will not unite around Obama! Trust me I know things. I have been a delegate to the Democratic National Convention.
The best chance we have now to win this election is with Hillary. She can pull in support from moderates, liberals and even conservatives. Obama can't!

Then what are you doing wasting your time on an anonymous discussion forum? I think you should use your "legitimate" influence and obvious free time to sway groups on the regional/national circuit.
The so-called division of the Democratic party is a sensationalism, at best. When it comes down to it, many of the current Sen. Clinton supporters will support Sen. Obama when he is nominated.

The only way Clinton can be nominated is if the superdelegates go against the popular vote. If that happens, I'm not supporting her or the Democrats this year (or probably ever again), nor will I vote for McCain.
There is no way Clinton can win the election. The hatred and mistrust of the Clintons in the heartland is deep, and I won't vote for a candidate who's main qualification is that she shares the name of a former president.

You consider yourself a patriot while trying to smear a major presidential candidate with your McCarthyite madness? Hardly!

Your screed against Obama is as paranoid and misguided as McCarthy's sad legacy. BTW - I know that McCarthy was in the senate, not the house.

Obama has communist ties! GUESS WHAT - SO DO THE CLINTONS. Does anyone remember JOHNNY CHUNG??? No? Let me remind you. Mr. Chong is in jail right now. Another money funneler for the communists and Clinton campaign, Johnny Chung, is now in jail. Attempts were made by Communist China to funnel money to the Clinton campaign and influence elections in 1996 The funds came from divisions of the Chinese army, one of which had been caught only months earlier while attempting to smuggle AK-47's to LA street gangs.
He wrote a $50,000 to Mrs. Hillary Rodham Clinton!!!!!!!
washingtonpost.com: Campaign Finance Key Player – Johnny Chung
OK..who has ties to communists??????

I agree McCarthy was in the Senate. I never said he was in the house. In fact I did not mention McCarthy. You got that from someone else evidently.
I'm not smearing anyone. I'm just giving my opinion just like you are giving yours. Why is it that when someone disagrees with you rabid Obama supporters you start calling people names. That's really childish.
Now you're calling me a McCarthite.....oh brother!

Wasn't the "Democrat" party founded by Thomas Jefferson or somebody?
