New Gallup poll: Obama is back
After falling as much as 7 points behind earlier this week a new Gallup poll shows Obama is now into a statistical dead heat with Hillary Clinton.
Gallup has this observation: It is possible that Obama's aggressive efforts to diffuse the Wright story, including a major speech on the race on March 18, have been effective.

Doesn't surprise me ONE bit.
I think the speech was VERY effective to MOST people. To people who never liked Obama to begin with it will of course have made little to no difference, and even among uncommitted or form Obama supporters there will be those who will remain against him - but overall, I think most folks saw it as a good, effective explanation of the situation. When even top Republicans such as McCain and Huckabee come to his defense clearly Obama is saying something right.

Clinton 47, Obama 45
From the article:
Quote:
Still, Obama has yet to recover fully from the apparent damage done by the Wright controversy. It was only one week ago that Obama led the race by a significant six-point margin over Clinton, 50% to 44%.

I believe this poll was done before the "typical white person" gaffe, yes? So the numbers may again be different the next time they come out.

I wouldn't call that a gaffe as much as a selective pulling-at-straws. If anyone changes their opinions based on these 3 words without reading or hearing the sentences that follow, I bet they would be too busy watching their "stories" on TV to head out and vote anyway.

Hee! I heard the entire statement and I would suggest to Obama supporters that it is no less racist than anything the Obama supporters have claimed was racist. Of course, as "typical Obama supporters" you probably wouldn't understand that.

These polls are simply a waste. Obama is the winner because of the democratic party delegate math. The superdelegates aren't going to give the nomination to the loser(hillary) in the delegate count.
However, I am simply bored from this race It was exciting on super tuesday and very fun until Obama won the delegate count and now can't lose those delegate count.
Hillary should drop out and let's have a break from elections for a few months, so we can enjoy the general election in the last two or three months.
