Saccone has indicated he will run again in the newly configured PA-14. The newly created 14th takes in about 57% of the current PA-18. It loses the Allegheny portion of the district (which is where Saccone and Lamb both live) and takes on more of Westmoreland, the rest of Washington and Fayette Counties.

The Republican Party will also ensure it has potential candidates in place to compete with a Democratic challenger.
The wake up call should be loud and clear very soon given that the rest of the world is taking action now in response to Trump's "trade wars are fun" decision.

He will finish his term. His approval ratings are as high or higher than Obama's was. If the (D)'s find even a decent candidate they should win. Run another from the corporatists wing and all bets are off.
Despite chaos engulfing the White House, Trump’s approval rating just hit a 9-month high
Trump’s rating is still the worst of any president at this point
And Trump shouldn’t break out the champagne just yet. His approval is still the lowest for any president at this point in his tenure since modern polling came about, according to FiveThirtyEight’s historical comparisons. Here’s how other presidents polled around day 390 of their term (where Trump is):

As Jon Favreau tweeted:
"Conor Lamb campaigned:
1. For universal health care
2. Against Trump’s tax cut
3. For expanded background checks
4. For stronger unions
5. Against cuts to Social Security
6. For a woman’s right to choose
7. For medical marijuana "

If Ryan wants to call him a Republican, I'm cool with that. A win is a win, no matter what the others call him. If anyone wants to call Lamb a conservative Democrat, I'm good with that too.

Since I'm all for that list above, if a Republican wants to make all that happen, he'll get my vote as quickly as a Democrat will.

Now it's on to Arizona, where disgraced GOP weirdo Trent Franks resigned after a sexual harassment incident. There's an April 24 special election to replace him.

Pennsylvania showed that a Republican man aligning himself with Trump was a losing proposition.
The race in Arizona is between two women, so we'll soon see if a female Republican aligning herself with Trump can pull out a win. Other than gender, both are running on exactly the same issues and have taken the same positions.

Great job PA voters. I feel hopeful that we can still save America if we keep the same strategy. Nancy Pelosi got to go.
