Pubs just seem to have lost their enthusiasm.

Kind of a mystery...

I went to his townhall and personally heard him say that he wanted to cut Social Security Retirement Income for people 55 years old and younger.

he might not know what's coming. He just may not want to have to question the President when whatever comes lands in his lap.

If I was in his shoes, I wouldn't relish doing that and then going home to face the music, either. Trump is putting a lot of the current GOP congressmen into a a no-win situation.

It's often better to call it quits and walk away winners than it is to lose after an expensive and bitter campaign.

Don't forget that a retired Congressman can keep the campaign money he has when he retires. For some, that puts millions in their pockets when they do retire.

and making changes in SS for those under 55 is something that is needed. However, it is unlikely to happen, because it would be a death notice to those in congress now. Still, changes are needed badly.

This is a fairly Republican district so should be one the GOP has no issues holding.

Part of the district abuts a state legislative district that just flipped from R to D in a special election within the past 2 weeks. Trump won that district by 5 points. The D beat the R 52.2% to 44.8% in the special election.

I certainly think the State House district that flipped could foreshadow a bit, but I don't think this district fits.

The bulk of Florida H.D 72 is in the 16th CD, not the 17th. Also, this is a district Trump won by 27, which is a bit different than 8 points.

So those of us who are 40 years old, have been working since we were 15, and served our country in its military, should have the rug pulled out from under us and see the rules changed midstream, huh?

When we just passed tax cuts that will cost $1.5 trillion, but are only permanent for the corporations, not the individuals?

Yeah, that makes sense.

I'm surprised you haven't been offered a job in the Trump Administration.
