Yes, Lamb's family members have held political office but he hasn't.
That's a good place to start -- instead of the Presidency -- lol.

Aren't there many first timers in the House?

Trump won this district by 20, Romney won this district, it seemed to be a Republican stronghold. Oooops not anymore.

So you're just going to ignore the 37 other seats that Dena have flipped since Trump became POTUS with candidates who are to the left of Lamb? Why?

Plus, doesn't the term for this seat and the PA 18th district as is, end with the 2018 midterms?

There are very few Dem politicians who are anti-gun. Fact.

The new district is actually better for him

The good news for Mr. Lamb, though, is that he now lives in the new 17th District, and that might be an even better opportunity for him than the old 18th.

Me too. Reps call me RINO. Dems an opressor.

Both parties are caricatures. The choice of Trump vs Clinton is unforgivable.

Depends on what "anti gun" is defined as. To many gun rights activists, Anti gun means being against machine guns.

It is not "anti-gun" to want to take military arms off civilian streets, or to make background checks more stringent. Our children are dying. Arming teachers is beyond idiotic. It's basically saying: "our schools aren't safe and we aren't willing to make them safer, so now we are ordering you to turn your schools into a war zone." Teachers are trained to teach. They don't need to be carrying weapons. And neither do students. This is the kind of insanity that happens in places like Afghanistan and Serbia. I can guarantee you that the framers of the Constitution would have been appalled at the NRA.

Nobody's against having guns--it's kind of in the American DNA. But for god's sake, make them difficult to acquire for all but the mature and well-vetted. It's just common sense.

^^^^ This explains it perfectly. This isn't the wild west any more, but people with more firepower than the cops have turned it into one. No parent should have to send their children off to school and worry that some idiot with an assault weapon is going to come in and slaughter them and lots of their classmates and teachers.

The brave students who are saying "enough is enough" are going to turn this mess that we adults created around. Wish I was in school, I would be one of the ones walking out today for 17 minutes to show how determined they are.
