In the era of Cell Phones, Voice Mail, Political Correctness and Caller ID, it seems like Presidential Polls are way off. It seems like every poll has a completely different result. So when one poll gives a candidate an advantage, their supporters will promote that poll like crazy. Media uses that specific poll to slant a story a certain way. If the polls do not match the slant the media wants to use, then they will ignore that poll and come up with their own result. Polls have become about worthless for the average person but great political advantage for supporters of candidates.

I think all the polling should be banned. I for one, am sick to death of them, they're wrong half the time anyway. I'm also really tired of all the "speculating" by the media and pundits, both conservative and liberal, and the endless micro-analysis of some things that aren't even important. It's like trying to get the odds on the winner of the Superbowl or something. When the big day comes, no one can really predict the final outcome until it actually happens. Just give the people the facts, let us look at the candidates, listen to them and their stands on the issues that are important to us, and let us choose for ourselves. An election without these "polls" would be like a breath of fresh air.

I don't participate in polls and say so as soon as they identify the purpose of the call. I don't like to be used that way.
