Is this a fantasy that you made up and swims in your head?

Democrats have no intentions of repealing the 2nd Amendment which if you knew how difficult it is to repeal a Amendment you wouldn't offer this up as a argument....but hey fear mongering works for the right.

As for impeaching Trump? Well the last party to impeach a President was the GOP and they made it part of their political agenda....Dems have more pressing concerns.

You have to go back to Jim Nustle in Iowa in 1990 where the Presidential Party successfully defended an open seat after losing that CD in the last Presidential Election.

There are thus far 8 such open seats in CD’s carried by Hillary that Republicans will defend in 2018. The Democrats need to flip 23 seats, hence those 8 seats would amount to 35% of the way to switching control of the House.

Interesting political trivia, if nothing else.
Great stuff!! Nate and 538 are NEVER wrong.
They predicted the 2015-2016 Primary season absolutely correctly and were the only one to get the 2016 General Election correctly. Brilliant guys (and gal).

Best part is their Brilliance is totally Non-Partisan.

Nate Silver is a liberal. He was moaning recently that the media focused "too much" on Hillary's emails

Doesn't really count when illegals make up a huge chunk of their voting block

Belief that illegals are fueling Democratic votes let’s the Alt-Reich sleep a little better, I guess.

The fact is though, that there are about 50,000 more native born Latino voters that reach voting age each month, and there’s not a damned thing they can do about it.

Tick.... tick....tick

And why does this make you so happy? Do you want the US to be as wonderful as Mexico? Or is it just a bad case of schadenfreude?

I think you would better off opening your eyes and head to realism: The Dems, as a whole may not be out to totally repeal the 2nd amendment because they know it would be 100% impossible, but they do want to do everything short of repealing it they can. As for impeachment, of course their goal is to impeach him and at this time they have no grounds other than they don't like what he has or has not done. When the GOP did the repealing, remember, the sitting President had been found guilty of a crime. So far our president has not been found guilty of anything.

Don't be so sure the Democrats are hell-bent toward impeachment.
So far, just handing out all the rope the Republicans need to hang themselves has worked pretty well.

In a Republican led Congress, if Trump is impeached, it will have to be fellow Republicans who lead the cry for impeachment.

There is more to be gained for the Democrats to let Trump run through the Republican china shop a few more times with no attempt to obstruct him.

I't a lot easier to say "He's not our bull! You throw a rope on him!" than it is to try lassoing the bull. The rope is put to better use by depressed Republican incumbents anyway, so why waste it on the bull?

And you know what the signs say in the Pottery Barn: If you break it, you bought it.

It doesn’t make me happy or unhappy. I just accept it as reality, because it is. You know what you call the 50,000 Latinos that come of age each and every month?

Young Americans.

The harder that either party tries to resist the forces of demographic change, the more likely over the course of time that that party will land on the ash heap of history.

538 has proven itself inaccurate and irrelevant. Why not just flip a coin and go with those results?
