I'm in WV and I've seen no sign of that. Blankenship is now going after McConnell though.
Morrisey is launching a bunch of robocalls going after Blankenship, and is holding a rally or press conference this afternoon going after him for his criminal background.

The only ones I've got have been from Blankenship and early on Jenkins.
Of course they all will go after each other. That's par for the course. Jenkins was a Congressman from the southern part of the state. Blankenship will have zero support from there and can't win.
My expectation is that Republicans live DOWN to their reputation today in WV and select Blankenship. They will follow the path of Alabama. Men like Blankenship and Moore sadly represent a big portion of the GOP base. Thankfully, we later have general elections with a far greater number of sane people voting which helps protect us as a firewall from such horrible candidates.
However - that's not the way I - and most Democrats I know - roll.
I want the best person for the job to be elected, regardless of party.
You sound like I did during the 2016 primary season.
At the time, the common sentiment by Democrats was that they wanted Trump to win the primary since there was no way he'd win the general. However, my feeling was that the way the general election works is that if you are the nominee, you got a shot. Having the (R) next to your name brings the base on board. Same with having a (D). I was hoping against hope that Trump would NOT win the primary. I could stomach a Republican president, sure. Even if Trump was supposedly going to be an "easy win" for the democratic nominee (haha...), I'd rather not have had that as a possible outcome. I'd have taken many of the other candidates instead, even if they had a higher chance of winning (well, according to common belief at the time!).
I have no idea whom Manchin will do better against. I'd rather see that whomever wins isn't completely devoid of ethics with no moral compass and prone to corruption. Unfortunately, the 2016 election didn't really afford an opportunity to avoid that. It truly reminded me of that Simpsons episode from 1992:
I was going to post this earlier and forgot........The GOP has a trick up their sleeve if need be. Blankenship never revealed his finances. In WV you have to. Now Blankenship said the fine was only 50K and that was nothing. The problem is, and it's never been done before but there is also prison time for not doing so as an option. Who would determine this? Patrick Morrisey.
