Why is it any less likely?
Anyone can jump on an airplane from anywhere and be inside our nation in a matter of hours.

If you were trafficing humans, wouldn't farther be better than closer when it comes to your own safety from the law and the families of your victims?

The human smugglers know all the ways to get around things like passports, visas, and that stuff. All smugglers always know where the holes are. Proximity makes no difference when there's money to be made.

We may not have SS troops at the border but we have US Marshall’s there to separate families who are legally attempting to apply for asylum.
I live in Georgia and Kemp with his gun and drug and hateful words offends me.

Actually no they can't. There are things called passports and visas and no-fly lists. These aren't insurmountable obstacles to everyone, but let's not pretend that everyone has an equal chance of coming here. There are huge swaths of the world where people are far too destitute to afford a plane ticket to the US much less passport/visa fees or even transportation to the nearest international airport which could be several hours' drive. Many are unable to read or write in their own language much less English. May don't possess a photo ID in their own country.
You're also ignoring geography. Why do we have more illegals from Mexico than say Rwanda or Honduras when those are poorer countries?

Oh, I'm fully aware that entry is not equally easy.

But when it's your business to trade slaves, ways for trade will be found.

The destitute are the stock in trade. The traders all know how to bring them here, or anywhere the trade goes on.

Human trafficing is different from illegal entry. The difference is intent. The illegals coming from Mexico have the intent to come here. Those who are seized and taken have no intent at all. They were kidnapped as stock to be sold.

Distance is no barrier. There are native-born American citizens who are taken and shipped abroad, just as there are those who are taken elsewhere and shipped here.

I agree with both of your points. People are already
being executed in this country thanks to the things running it. Hate crimes are up. I'm waiting to see that
subtle person "go missing". Orangeaid now says he could shoot Comey. It's coming.

Those at the borders are being treated like dogs with ripping apart of kids from parents, and putting children in cages. Wonder what happened to Sessions to become this kind of person (for decades). Did his parents abuse him or just continually spout lies about anyone other than white men.
