Obama came into office during a recession, which Bush left him. Trump in a year in a half has already added $1.5 Trillion to the deficit. Liberal states are doing extremely well, in spite of the GOP rhetoric and 83% of the GOP tax bill benefited the top 1%. Trump gave billions to billionaires including enriching himself.

Every US state economy ranked from worst to best - Business Insider

Top states by economy are:

Washington DC
Washington (my state)
Massachusetts
Texas
Colorado
California
Utah
Nebraska
Rhode Island
Maryland
Oregon

Obama added $12 trillion to the deficit in 8 years. Your point? And, because of Trump's tax bill, I got a raise and a bonus. I never got that under Obama, and I'm not in the top 1%. And, Trump got evaluated by a doctor and was in excellent physical and mental health. Your notion was just proven false. Have a good day.

Obama inherited an economy in a free fall, plus trillions of dollars for Bush's folly in Iraq that W conveniently left off the books so the country wouldn't see the massive amount of taxpayer money he squandered for nothing.

Trump inherited an economy in good shape, and growing.

Big difference between the two, as any honest person would admit. Will you?

What you got was a pittance compared to the massive giveaway that tax cut was for the uber-wealthy--like Trump--and for corporations. And the corporations get to keep their boondoggle forever. Not so for the crumbs the masses got.

Trump is obese and sedentary. He could use a healthy dose of Michelle Obama's "Let's Move!" campaign and work off some of that fat ass. But he thinks exercise is bad for you because a body only has so much energy and working out uses it up. I wish I was kidding, but that's the "intelligence" level we are dealing with here. That also speaks to that "excellent" mental health part pretty succinctly as well.

Have a good day.

Peace via strength.
Pretty sure Obama did the same thing Trump did, whether he believed him is a matter of opinion.

Typical Leftie. "Oh well Obama inherited a mess." That might be true, but it wasn't entirely Bush's fault for 8 years. I know to you lefties that everything was never Obama's fault but it was either Bush's or Trump's fault, but the added $12 trillion in debt was entirely Hussein's fault. I got an extra $700 dollars added to my check as a bonus and an extra $4 dollars an hour raise. I never got this under Obama's presidency. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DErYK27cKTo Enjoy the weekend, buddy.

No its not, but if you would like to explain your reasoning, I think it would be interesting to read.

No "might" about it. There was a global financial crisis at the end of 2008. Maybe you heard of it?

The Iraq War was entirely Bush's fault. As were the trillions of dollars he kept "off the books," that are always counted against Obama because he moved them back "on the books."

We were in the middle of a financial melt down. It cost money to keep us from going over the cliff. Which Obama did so well that we are where we are today, with Trump claiming credit for the economy Obama saved.

Sure you did. You could tell us you got a $10,000 bonus and we would have no way to verify it. Most people I know saw a few bucks increase, that has already been wiped out by the soaring gas prices.

Yes, the financial crisis was entirely Bush's fault. I'm not gonna dispute that cause I highly dislike George W. Bush. But, the entire debt under Hussein's presidency over the course of the entire 8 years cannot be blamed all on Bush. The Democrat's never place blame on Obama. Everything Obama did was Bush's fault. At least The Republicans own up to Bush's mistakes. But, come on man, some of the debt may have been Bush's fault indeed, but not 8 years worth. Obama didn't necessarily save us. 6 of the states that went for him flipped over to Trump. Obviously The American Voters were angry enough with his presidency to reject his legacy. Well, The raise and bonus I got may have been tiny but at least it's something. Under Obama, my money was being taken out to support the lazy people on welfare.

Federal welfare peaked in 2009-2010 driven by the recession. It then decreased throughout the rest of the Obama years and continues that decrease in the Trump regime. So no the Obama years did not increase funding on welfare after the recession.
