Anyone without their political affiliation listed beside them is either an Independent, or has unknown political affiliation. They could either run as an Independent or under any party. The reason the Bernie Sanders says "(as a Democrat)" instead of either just "(Democrat)" or blank is because he's otherwise not a Democrat but always runs as a Democrat when he runs for president and has declined to run for president as an Independent or any other political party. This list does not included anyone listed as "Declined to be candidates" on the "United States presidential election, 2020" Wikipedia article, the exception to this is Mike Pence because he is Donald Trump's Vice President and there's a chance that he could be the incumbent.

You have Barack Obama’s dog listed?

While he may be more qualified than the present occupant, I think that the winner in 2020 is likely to be at least somewhat human.

I still wish Jon Hunstman had been more popular back in 2012. He was a Republican I felt confident in backing and a politician who had real bipartisan tendencies. I honestly haven’t seen anyone like that since.

The fact that you have Harambe and Ken Bone listed makes me suspicious that you are a Redditor.

I agree. Sharp guy.

Of course, he DARED to accept a post in the Obama administration, so that immediately disqualified him to most Republicans.

Well Trump hired him as our ambassador to Russia so it can’t be that bad.

A presidential appointment is much different than an elected position.

I saw people on this very board trashing Huntsman in 2012 because he was ambassador to China under Obama. Huntsman also supported same-sex unions and then same-sex marriage, which is a non-starter in the GOP primary.

In 2012. The nation has come a long way on same sex issues since then, by 2020 I doubt they’ll be a deciding factor.

What we need though is someone who supports things because it’s the right thing to do and is tolerant of opposing beliefs. Huntsman is simply not divisive enough for today.

I would rather have a second term of Trump than to vote for a party who thinks that you should be arrested if you misgender someone, while they let an illegal immigrant with multiple felonies who shot and killed a woman walk away free.
