What makes anyone think Ivanka has the fire in the belly to go after the job? I don't see it, nor am I convinced that she wouldn't walk us back toward where we were before her dad decided to run.

If Pence was to leave, I can only wonder what would happen next. Ryan, by the constitution, would fill his shoes, but would he fill Pence's place until 2020 or until he retires at the end of this year? Would he stay on as V.P. if Trump was impeached? If he did, would he remain President by default until 2020, even if his retirement allowed it?
Would it be legal or not? No one knows. It's one of those things the Constitution doesn't cover, and there's no precedent in in our common law either.

#3 in line would be Orrin Hatch, but he announced his retirement too, and his party has already chosen 2 others to a run-off to take his place on the ballot. If Ryan would be declared ineligible for the office, so would Hatch.

#4 would be Mike Pompeo.

If it became Pompeo, we would have the first President who has never run for office and was never elected as an official at any level in our government.

In addition to becoming the very first Secretary of State to ever become President through succession of office.

This has to be the very first time our line of succession has been so tenuous, complicated and fragile.
Nobody becomes vice-president by default. The 25th Amendment spells it out in Section 2: Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

Nixon sought advice from senior Congressional leaders about a replacement. Nixon asked Ford to be the next vice president, because Congressional leaders, Nixon's advisers, and political allies told him that Ford was the only man on the President's short list whom the Senate and the House would support.

Name one thing he has done.

The list is rather long. Whether you consider them positive or negative depends on whether you are a logical and reasonable person or a Democrat.

Who the hell wants to be subject to such hogwash that comes from the trumps. You are all fools.
After NY and the Feds are through with them they won't have 10 cents for shoelaces.
At this point I don't care how this family is removed from the taxpayer dole. Easiest way is like they do with all major crime families. ..tax evasion and tax fraud. So many finance crimes I bet they don't even have a legitimate earned 10 cents between them.
I totally agree. Nixon was forced to resign due to impending impeachment and conviction in the Senate. His case was criminal involving the Watergate break-in and coverup. He had his faults but while some may disagree, he did a fair job. Nothing positive can be said about the Trump administration. This much deeper and more involved than Watergate but many more people are involved and will be implicated. In the mean time, the country just deals with his lunatic comments and Tweets everyday.

what'd i miss, I agree that tax evasion and tax fraud will be the easiest crimes to charge Trump and his family. Mueller is by far, the best person to do it.

From what I can tell, Ivanka is a liberal Democrat.

If she can learn some pointers from her dad between now and 2024, then she has a better shot.

Putin is going to assist in Trump's selection as President again, Democrats don't stand a chance in 2020.

If he keeps winning like he has been, yes, he'll win again in 2020. America is doing better than it has in many, many years. I have heard that many liberals are wishing for a recession, just to hurt President Trump's chances for re-election. Real smart

The only other female in either Party, that currently has a shot at the top job, is Nikki. Every single Democrat is walking the Democratic line and has no chance.

I know that you have been talking about crimes; but Trump has not been charged with any crime. You can wish all you want; but that does not make it a reality.

He is the worst president we have ever had. He alienates our allies while praising our foes. His constant tantrums and lies on Twitter make him look weak because he canít take any criticism. Reagan was a great president even though I didnít agree with everything he did. But he did care about our country. Trump only cares about himself and how much he is loved. Heís a divider not a uniter. Thatís not what our country needs.
