Bernie would have won, hands down.

But now that people have had a taste of The Donald, "I told you so's"... It is going to be hard for anyone to tackle The Donald politically.....

It would depend on whether the events came before or after the convention.

If a candidate was to die before the convention, the delegates would simply nominate the next runner-up. But if a presidential nominee was to die, then the vice-presidential nominee would become the party's nominee for President. And then, would select the new vice-presidential candidate.

The convention is where the nominee becomes the official representative of their party as a Presidential candidate. Once that's decided, there's no do-over. If both the Presidential and Vice-Presidential nominees were to die at the same time, then the next runner-up would assume the candidacy and select a new VP.

Bidon would not qualify, as he was a serving Vice President to a living President and had not declared his candidacy. Bernie would have become the nominee if both the others died.

It's highly unlikely any Presidential nominee will ever be arrested and/or jailed before an election. It's much more likely the charges would be held until after the election before they were served.

But there is nothing to stop a nominee from continuing to run with charges that have been brought, and the person could still be legally elected.

While all this has never happened yet at the Presidential level, it has happened several times at the Congressional level. The rules are the same for both branches until the president is elected. That's when all the succession rules change.

I might agree with you if Democrats did better down ballot.

The truth is, after decades of blaming white males for every problem under the sun, the DNC has developed a white problem.

White males won't vote for their own evisceration and married white women won't vote to further attack their husbands, sons, fathers, brothers, etc.

Maybe they would have backed a worthy candidate rather than the one who thought it was owed to her. I doubt it though. The DNC like the GOP seems intent upon pandering to their extreme at the expense of their base.

Bernie lost to Hillary Clinton by 3 million+ votes. Your definition of a rigged primary is the simply fact that no one in the Party supported Bernie.

Are you saying this developed since 2012 ?

Even so, there were enough green votes in the PA, WI, and MI for Hillary Clinton to win.

I am wondering what the RNC would have done if Trump was indicted before the election.
