Smart move by Rhode Island!

Quote:
Rhode Islandís state Senate passed a bill this week that would keep candidates off the presidential ballot in their state if they donít release five years' worth of tax returns, according to the Providence Journal.

State Sen. Gayle Goldin (D), who sponsored the bill, noted that every presidential candidate since Richard Nixon had released their tax returns voluntarily until President Trump ran for office.

This would never stand up in the courts. Also, expect The Supreme Court would expedite the review of any court case arising from a law that did this. What next? Poll tax?

Constitution determines requirements for federal office. Everything else is just empty political posturing. Rhode Island residents should demand that every legislator that participated in this reimburse the state treasury for this stupidity.

Or, and this is a wild shot, Trump could release his tax returns, as he said he would do when he was running. Sure appears that there is something in there that he is scared to death to have revealed.

Speaking for myself, it doesn't drive me crazy. It actually is amusing as it is so patently clear what is going on.

I don't believe that you would be the one that Trump would be so concerned about seeing his tax returns

Because the Democrats are so passionate about democracy.

Are there any bigger hypocrites currently living than these people? Not likely.
