She's been campaigning non-stop for a year and you say she didnt want to win? Where do you come up with that idea? Wall Street lost and workers won in that race. Get over it.

She didn't want to win because she didn't run a real campaign.. if she was out to get the seat, she would of done a lot more rather than relying to low voter turnout and "hopes"...

She's the one that showed up for the debates.

Debates? Like anyone actually watched it... maybe she impressed them so much, they went to the polls to vote for her in a huge turnout? No? I guess nobody watched...

Anyone who wins a race has run a real campaign. IIRC- Trump was constantly lampooned for his poorly run campaign... until he won.

Winning a primary doesn't mean much... Sorry, that's the truth of it... She has zero money to run the real race... The GOP puts in one million and she is done... Unless the Democrats put money in and she could still lose...but the Democrats have no money... A good opportunity for the GOP to make the Democrats waste their money... And still lose...

Steve Bannon predicted there would be a left wing populist movement similar to the right's Deplorables over a year ago.

Clueless and unaware.

As I already posted upthread, Crowley won in 2016 with a margin of 83 to 17. The district is not flipping to red

Congrats to her, especially after being outspent. I've seen one source that the spending was 18-1, and another 10-1. Either way, that is an inspirational win.

However, I can't say I'm thrilled at getting a self-IDed socialist in the U.S. house. Venezuela is not doing to great under socialism.

I see she has an econ degree from Boston U--what kind of econ are they teaching there? And her GOP opponent is an econ professor at St John's U, so that could make for an interesting race.

What exactly is so bad about retirement security for our elderly and guaranteeing health care for every American citizen? That's not Venezuela. Thats pretty much every developed country in the world. Its funny how we are told we can not compare ourselves to any developed country because we are supposed to be so different. Yet, a corrupt third world dictatorship like Venezuela is apparently an apt comparison with America...
