Stanley Ann Dunham studied Margaret Mead's theoriums of Anthropology while at the University of Hawaii. Mead's research suggested that members of cultures that we consider primative and aboriginal had more freedom because there were fewer constraints on behavior. Among those freedoms were the carnal pleasures. Many sociologists today believe that Mead's research opened the pandorah's box that became the sexual revolution in the late 1960's. Stanley Ann Dunham was a very willing participant. She had many lovers among the Socialist-Communist "Hippie-like" group that gathered there weekly to hear the protest songs, speeches against the US government and the poetry of Communist Labor organizer Frank Marshall Davis who was then a resident of Honalulu. Among her lovers was a Kenyan, Barack Hussein Obama. Obama (Sr.) was at the University of Hawaii on a scholarship paid for by the Kenyan Communist regime. He and Stanley Ann lived together for a period of time. Stanley Ann discovered she was pregnant. They quickly married and six months later she gave birth to a son they named after the father Barick Hussein Obama, Jr. Sometime during the time that they lived together Stanly Ann found out that her husband was a bigamist who had a wife back in Kenya. Shortly thereafter Obama Sr departed for the East Coast and then back to his homeland leaving Stanley Ann and her son to fend for themselves.
Stanley Ann was deeply involved in not only her study of Anthropology but also in the leftist-Communist movement at the Uiniversity of Hawaii. She handed out flyers, participated in meetings, rallys, protests and marched in picket lines. She didn't have much time for child rearing. That job was shared by her parents who lived nearby and some of her willing college friends. Stanley Ann carried on several brief affairs during this time. The last resulting in her marriage to an Indonesian Socialist.
Did Stanley Ann really despise constitutional democracy? Her list of friends ranged from Communist Revolutionaries to Black Panthers to Maoist Communists. Many of those friends expoused a philosophy of militant action against the US Government. A few of them later committed violent acts.
Stanley Ann left the US and settled with young Barack in her husband's family home in Indonesia. If she was expecting an easy life she was wrong. She found a job as an assistant to a renouned anthropolgist and ended up supporting herself. Her Indonesian husband was rarely around and friction with his family soon forced Stanley Ann and Barack to find their own accomodations. By the time Barack was four he was enrolled in a Catholic sponsored school. Stanley Ann came down with a mysterious illness and returned to Honalulu for treatment. Barack stayed with his stepfather's family during this time and began training by them and at their mosque in Islam. THIS IS APPARENTLY WHERE THE STORY ORIGINATED THAT OBAMA WAS A MUSLIM. When Stanley Ann returned she re-enrolled Barack in the Catholic school.
Did Stanley Ann really despise constitutional democracy? She was a willing helper in the Indonesian Communist party which supported known terrorists then as it does now.
It shoulld be noted that other than two visits (one the Hospital stay in Honalulu mentioned beforehand) Stanley Ann was a US citizen living in Indonesia for 21 years. She did not apply for Indonesian citizenship. She did not return with Barack Jr. when he returned to finish high school in Honalulul. In fact there seems to have been some disagreement between mother and son which may have precipitated the move. According to friends of Obama Barack had little contact with his mother during this time. He did not answer her letters and only rarely spoke with her on the telephone.
Cronologically, if you follow the time line gleaned from Obama's first book, this was the period when he began to discover himself as a black man and reject his mother's race. Perhaps he was influenced to turn his back on his white side by the Communist Frank Marshall Davis whom he called "Frank, a father figure" in his book.
