I'm a Republican and even I hate this guy. Guy's a slug.

Yes it is. Read it and weep.

Texas Penal Code 32.48

Oh, it is effective all right.

Btw, my very republican voting city/county has tons of Beto's signs. It is a long shot, but we will see.

Tell me about it.

What I want to know, is how the outraged OP has managed to insulate himself/herself from these ridiculous mailings--from both parties.

Must be nice.

Aren't you the lucky one who's never received these surreptitious political solicitations.

I see that there is a continued failure to produce even a single link proving the claim the Democrats send out this same type of fraudulent mailer.

Good thing I wasn't holding my breath, because I have doubts that such a link will ever be forthcoming. Just lots of GOPer bloviation, as usual.

The average Republican lies fairly regularly now since the liar-in-chief has set such a great example for them.

Trump has perverted the gop. I'm not voting GOP again until he's out, preferably behind bars

It might be effective on those who have limited reading and cognitive ability---like seniors with some dimentia

That is why it is illegal....

Well, I'm serious about wanting a link to a democrat - or any other politician of either party - who sent out a fundraiser blast mail that appears to be an official summons besides Ted Cruz.

And where the first line of the return address is "Travis County Official Summons". (Obviously, other candidates would have different counties).

I'm helping with mailers from the local Beto campaign, and they are obvious at a glance what they are.

Because that's kind of the difference, in a nutshell, between these two men.

You can kind of shrink this whole campaign down to whether their fundraising envelopes are obviously that, or they're designed to strike fear in the heart of the recipient and force him to rip the thing open.

What hasn't been said in the media, is what is inside the envelope. Could it appear to someone with limited capacity - like an elderly person - that they're paying off a fine to avoid arrest?
