Looks like the righties vanished from this thread as fast as they did the ones where they said the Republicans were going to keep the House and everyone in America loves Trump.

The polls have had egg on their faces ever since predicting Hillary wold become Prsesident in 2016, and they haven't forgotten.

The elections are almost upon us. Time to straighten out their "predictions" to conform with what the voters are actually doing.

I think they've been straightened out.

Yes, the rural areas of WI are trending Republican (like they are everywhere else), but with the rapid growth of the most Democratic county in the state (Dane County, where very liberal Madison is located), the slow GOP erosion in the Milwaukee suburbs, and the shrinking rural areas, Democrats will most likely always remain competitive in Wisconsin, keeping it a purple state. Don't forget we just re-elected America's only LGBT U.S. Senator by a landslide. Tammy Baldwin beat her opponent by 10 points. A red state doesn't send an LGBT U.S. Senator to Washington in the first place - LOL.

And, to make matters worse, the 'job creation' it appears will need to be partly satisfied by engineers and others from Asia - because WI (US?) lacks sufficient talent experienced in the manufacture of whatever it is they're going to be manufacturing at FoxConn.

On Tuesday, the Wall Street Journal, citing “people familiar with the matter,” said Foxconn is considering bringing people from China to help staff its Wisconsin plant amid difficulties finding engineers and others in a tight labor market.

Citing “people familiar with the matter,” the newspaper said Foxconn Chairman Terry Gou “is looking to company engineers in China to transfer” to Wisconsin. Gou is upset that few have volunteered to move if called upon, the newspaper said.

“We can categorically state that the assertion that we are recruiting Chinese personnel to staff our Wisconsin project is untrue,” Foxconn said in a statement.

The Chinese have denied they will be importing their own workers. Wanna bet?

Oh, the irony....the sad irony. I'm wondering how well that part of the state will welcome with open arms an army of Chinese engineers.

Walker will still work for Koch Industries. Will just need to add a new position to his resume after WI Governor. Can keep the employer name the same.

I'm told that Walker actually had the guts to campaign as the "Education Governor" after slashing the hell out of education and stripping the teacher's union of its right to bargain collectively.

This man was trash that needed to be taken out to the dump. Glad the voters did it.

He's a good Christian and preacher's son, though. So, that makes up for it.

Tony Evers wants to take govt money for Medicaid expansion - just like many GOP govs already have - which would add enough to the state budget to refund education. Our heavily GOP legislature will never allow it. Now they're putting their heads together to figure out a way to take back powers they allowed Scott Walker. They'll succeed, too. We are gerrymandered all to heck in this state - so it will take Evers a minimum of two terms to get us back on track.

I've read there have been record referendums for education passing on the local level in the state because of Scott Walker. My property taxes (remember Walker bragged about lowering property taxes) are going up over 8% next year because our municipality just this election passed school bond referendum due to lack of funding from the state. One way or the other taxpayers pay - but most are too uninformed to realize it.

Rural voters are the issue here - and throughout the country. Walker barely lost - and it was because of the rural vote. Those "off the grid" so to speak compared to those who live in heavily populated urban areas.
