Opening salvo is right, here's to hoping we get a real blue wave in 2020.

Normally I'd be worried about people staying motivated but with Trump running the show it's really a non-issue. Just let him do what he does best and he'll keep people sufficiently p***ed off to the point that the motivation problem will naturally fix itself.

Pissed off peaked in 2016 with 24/7 outrage...and Trump still won.

I haven't done a search for the story yet, but I heard that the Washington Post has already done a story indicating that it will be hard for 20 of the flips to stay flipped in 2020.

Doesn't matter if it was a ripple or a wave. The end goal was achieved: control of the House and a rein on Trump. I'm ecstatic about the results from last night. In fact, so much so that we're throwing a party this weekend to celebrate!

No outrage here. What purpose dies it serve to be outraged? I prefer we take steps to remedy what ails us as opposed to wasting energy being "outraged". We started the process last night but we've still got a lot of work ahead of us.

1 They already started that nonsense with the Russian fabrication over a year ago and they found zilch. All they found is that some of the people Trump chose to surround himself with were crooks many years before Trump even knew them. Not 1 piece of evidence of Trump colluding with the Russians in over a year. Total fabrication.

2 Trump is under no obligation to turn over his tax returns.

3 With the Republicans now in firm control of the Senate, and many of the RINO's flushed out of the swamp, no impeachment can occur.

4 Dems lost a ton of credibility in the Kavanaugh investigation, and that cost them Senate votes as every Dem that voted against Kavanaugh lost. That was no coincidence.

5 Mueller will soon have to admit he found zero Russian collusion evidence, the Dems will lose even more credibility. There will be outrage amongst moderate Dems and Independents. With Jeff Sessions stepping aside, his replacement will no longer be bound by any conflict of interest, and will force Mueller to wrap up the Russian farce w/in 30 days and file his report.

6 Americans realize these witch hunts cost Millions and distract from real issues being addressed. Americans are totally fatigued with endless investigations and with the both sides not coming together to get things accomplished...like real healtchare solutions.

If the Dems pursue any more investigations of any kind, they do so at their own peril. Trump will win easy re-election and Congress will be taken back in a Red wave.

Second was 94 Clinton with 52 seats. This is just normal politics. There was no wave at all. The Senate has gained for the Republicans. Its even bigger than many realize because many never trumpers have been replaced with good republicans and remember that now trump does not relay on flaky flake to get SC or Federal judges put in. We can change the face of the courts for a generation.
I never existed in the first place. Like everything else after Trump was elected, the dems have lost their minds. If the dems thought something was a possibility, they simply ran with it as if it were fact. Because their tiny circle of like-minded friends and associates were voting Democrat, they just assumed that everyone else was.

Other first term presidents suffered much more House losses in the mid term. The losses in Trump's first midterm were on the low end, historically speaking. Trump even picked up Senate seats.

The wave, or momentum is on the Republican side. Just combine the low number of Republican losses in the House with the seats picked up in the Senate, and you have Republicans on the move, not dems.

The "Blue Wave" was all media hype and wishful thinking. It was based upon a coordinated strategy between Dem politicians, pollsters, and the mainstream media. It backfired, and they lost whatever credibilty they had left after the Kavanaugh travesty.

Their brainwashing scheme failed...again. They set up their constituants for yet another huge disappointment. Now, all the snowflakes are melting, and they lost all trust.

It was enough of a win to take the House, and block Trump for two years. However, is that such a win for the Dems? Now they will be views as only obstructionist, but the Media, as always, won't call them that. Trump now has an excuse if he can't get more of his agenda through. If I were him, it's easier, and better to be able to blame the Democrats rather than his own party.
