In 1938, FDR lost 71 House seats.
In 2010, BO lost 63 seats.

Trumps loss is...average.
Correct in the House. 2018 = Very pedestrian.

Senate gains for incumbent party are rare.

Republicans had their advantage because the class up for election this year was already almost as Democratic as it could realistically be (due to the last two times this class was up being good Democratic years, namely 2012 and 2006). This is why I predicted that the GOP would keep the Senate after 2018 despite midterm elections tending to go against the President's party, but may very well lose it in 2020 or 2022.

I needed to post this here. Far right extremist will luv the picture in the link...? Da diviltress herself to some ....

https://www.yahoo.com/news/democrats...200007391.html

Probably calling it fake news from Yahoo .... but a lot of into in the link on the election.
It says:
- after several days of vote counting .'.'. It looks like Democrats beat the historic average for midterm elections.
- Democrats picked up at least 7 governor offices too.
- it appears House Democrats are just past the benchmark, outpacing the gains of at least 12 other election cycles since 1918.

Waldo won't like this. But still will spin and spin as in ..... but Trump still beat Hillary .... ya don't forget it.

But in loving Trump fashion ..... he still got in. -- the PROCESS WAS RIGGED. and Dems won only thru shadiness...... and election was not about him .... though he said to his troops in MASSIVE RALLY'S - that it was.

Did i say them RALLY'S were .~_~. ((( M A S S I V E))) I mean .... REALLY BIG.

Any gains made by the GOP were the result of the Kavanaugh hearings. Dems showed their ass and people noticed. If they had managed to behave themselves and act maturely they would have walked away with the whole thing.

Winner #2: Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign. Liberals won’t understand this one either. But winning the House wasn’t a win for them. They will understand soon enough…

The House is a moral victory for Democrats. But it’s meaningless. Dems won’t be able to pass a single bill. But they now get the spotlight. They can no longer hide their craziest and radical members. Trump now gets to play hero and protect America from radical nutcases suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome” like Nancy Pelosi, Adam Schiff, Maxine Waters, and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

This is a dream situation for President Trump
WAYNE ALLYN ROOT: THE BIGGEST ELECTION WINNER?

I look forward to Trump jaw jacking the hapless Democrats in the House. They can't hide now.

Looks like all of this has come to pass. Trump is rising in the approval polls. He hit a home run again with the SOTU address, Mueller's witchhunt has died, and Democrats are talking about ending all air travel in 10 years and unicorns.

Looks as if that one is already falling apart. Turns out Shiff has his own Russian problems. It sure had a very short 1/2 life.

Trump still winning!
