It is so pathetic to see those who still truly believe in and follow Hilary Clinton, as all she cares about is power and money. In fact now it has been revealed that the 10+ million they did give to charity was to The Clinton Foundation! Figure that!

As the average American Family Income is only about 55K annually, how much do you really believe Hilary cares about our average Guys & Gals?

The Obamas also make bank with their professions and both have Ivy League educations... so how can they relate to the average $55k a year Joe or Jane either?
Quote:
On their just-filed 2006 tax return, Obama and his wife, a hospital administrator, reported taxable income of $983,626 and claimed deductions for $60,307 in charitable donations. In 2005 they earned a combined $1.65 million and gave away about $77,300.

In 2002, the year before Obama launched his campaign for U.S. Senate, the Obamas reported income of $259,394, ranking them in the top 2 percent of U.S. households, according to Census Bureau statistics. That year the Obamas claimed $1,050 in deductions for gifts to charity, or 0.4 percent of their income. The average U.S. household totaled $1,872 in gifts to charity in 2002, according to the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University.
For Obama, charity really began in the U.S. Senate -- National Government, The White House, University of Chicago -- chicagotribune.com

True... so if the Democrat candidates feel that government is the answer for the woes of the country and those less fortunate, how much have each of them donated to the US Treasury? I know since each of them care so very much that they would kick in at least 5% of their salary above and beyond their typical tax burden.

What's wrong with putting the money into their own foundation? And it wasn't the only charitable organization they gave to out of a total of $10.3 million or 9.5% of their income. Don't you suspect that Bill and Melinda Gates give to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation? From Bloomberg:

"The bulk of those charitable donations went to the family foundation. From 2002 through 2006, $5.9 million of the $6.4 million, or 93 percent, of the Clinton's charitable giving went directly to the Clinton Family Foundation, according to the tax returns and foundation records. "

Look at what that foundation covers instead of implying it is something sinister and selfish: William J. Clinton Foundation (http://www.clintonfoundation.org/index.htm?gclid=CPCoueLyxJICFQIPkgod3V_8XQ - broken link)

And yes, I think the Clintons do care about the poor or working class citizens. They've worked to help those in need for decades. And anyone who was born and raised in Hope, Arkansas surely knows poverty and hard work to make a living when he sees it.

If I were a nice young lady I would stay very far away from anything with the name Bill Clinton!

Nothing is wrong with charity, unless of course you preach that government is the answer to social issues. In those cases, like those of most liberals, it's rather hypocritical to feel that self directed giving is acceptable when it comes to their money, but forced contributions to government provides the best means for others. If government was truely the answer, they would stop giving to private charities and start giving to the US Treasury.

I bet the Clintons and all the other ultra wealthy are eternally grateful to bush for giving them such a big tax break

So you think the Clintons or any other really wealthy people can't identify with the average American or the poor....???

Do you really know poor people who can afford to run for president?

Was bu**** so poor he COULD identify with the average/poor of America?
