College educated woman do not support Trump.
This is news?
They never have! And I don't think they will, either. Maybe there is a difference between "not supporting Trump" and "supporting Democrats", but I don't really think so.

For me - a Republican - I would be happier if the next nominee were just a tad more compromising. Maybe someone between Pence and Trump. Like Nikki Haley. Or dredge up one of our old candidates like Marco Rubio.

Announcing that some poll, no matter where it is, shows that Trump "may have a tough time" is pretty silly given the fact that he didn't win the popular vote the first time. Rasmussen poll shows Trump with 49% approval. 41% strongly disapprove.

The party in power are happy campers, and it shows in midterms.
The President always benefits from losing the midterms, because it motivates his base for the next General election.
Trump is very lucky that Democrats took the House, so Trump's base will be awake for 2020.
Trump’s base doesn’t matter anymore because they won’t get him re-elected. Trump won because many independents and democrats voted for him. They won’t do it again. And he can’t win with just his hard core base. His chances would be better if he was a president for all but he’s not.

He’ll win if you put up another crap candidate like Hillary. I didn’t vote for Trump, I voted against Hillary. I suspect many did.

His base alone didn’t elect him but it’s pretty stupid to say they don’t matter.

you are forgetting the Democrats don't have a candidate and their bench is weak. Democrats will have a bloody primary for the soul of the party. You will also have Pelosi in the house passing bills, spending and Democrats have to be accountable now instead of watching from the sidelines.

A sitting President has a huge advantage. Unless the economy tanks in 2 years, Trump is the favorite, especially if the Democrats nominate a left wing socialist nut.

Until Democrats actually nominate someone for Trump to run against, it's just nonsense.

A president for all, what a joke. How is he a president for all when he constantly insults the other party. That’s called division
