They're not really "taking jobs from Americans" because Americans won't work for less than minimum wage.

Employers take advantage of the cheap labor in favor of hiring American workers at higher wages. If these employers were sanctioned, the illegal labor problem would disappear overnight. But "the right people" benefit from the status quo.

It's obvious why neither party will effectively address the issue.

Wasn't that effectively the pro-slavery argument: cheap slave labor was needed to make the economy go round. It was wrong then, and is wrong now.

Any employment of an illegal is a job stolen from an American.

That's certainly true.

It's the employers of those illegals who are giving American jobs to foreigners.

Those Pubs should stop being so un-American.

You have to call them out on that. Send them an email, post on yelp, write letters to newspapers, post on the internet.

The culture of permissiveness of illegal immigration has to change. Go to a school meeting and raise the cost issue of English as a second language and how many free meals they give away. You won't get very far with that the first few times, but after a while you get some traction.

You first.

I insist.

But please post updates on your progress.

I'm really sorry to have to break the news to you, but stopping "illegals" most certainly does NOT matter most. And, hey, they're not "stealing" jobs. They're mostly taking the worst jobs that Americans don't want. But it's just a ruse, to distract you from things that are really important.

I'm sorry that you sound so obsessively focused on paranoia about money - although I know that's what Trump feeds on. I wish you could wake up to the fact that there are other things that are more important - the environment, the First Amendment, our alliances, our democracy, etc.

Well if you don't like that interview then listen to this one.

Eric Metaxas is an award winning author and you can look him up on YouTube etc. What I found interesting is he claims we are in a civil war right now. When he was out with his wife they came upon a dangerous scene. Rioters in the street yelling at the police. They got really scared and I would have been as well.

People yelling at the very people who would give their lives to protect them from harm. It's crazy and it on the far left. People can't be rational thinking like this and wanting to become a socialist country. The new far left Dems are nuts.

"Eric Metaxas fires on a lot of creative pistons. He writes like a dream, has a knack for distilling a thousand historical facts and personal details both in his fine books (see below) and on his popular nationally syndicated radio show The Eric Metaxas Show, and also has a rapier-like wit. He also spoke with amiable confidence about his now famous biography of Dietrich Bonhoeffer at the National Prayer Breakfast a few steps away from President Obama. A strange but impressive mashup if there ever was one."

I hate to break it to you but this country has always had far left socialist and far right conservatives. Protesting and yelling at police nothing new. Not sure how old you are but in the 1960's it was far more extreme activity. There were bombings, Kent state national Guard shootings, Black Panthers marched on Sacramento while armed. Then we had watts riots desegregation of schools all of that stuff makes today look like we live in Switzerland. Vietnam war protesting 58000 US service men died for nothing.
