When he said debt is our biggest problem it really impressed me. As a Repubican voter it is disappointing that Reps have quit focusing on the debt in recent years. But what really is getting me excited about Schultz is the hatred spewing from Democrats towards him.

l.
He has become a villan to Democrats. He's their second worst person in the world at this moment behind Trump.I am not surprised at the poll.

I think it's a great poll. This is an elections board we overthink about these kind of things.I always have. I remember in 1980, I was a teenager not old enough to vote and I spent hours pondering if independent candidate John Anderson would take away more votes from Carter or Reagan.

I'm not sure what LWLT means but you seem to be reaching based on one poll.

Republicans in general are more open minded than democrats, and the dems are doing there best to discourage Schultz because they fear him.

LWLT = Left Wing Loony Toon. You need to get out more

To soon to say, Schultz just hit a home-run with Starbucks doesn't make him President Material.

I would like to hear his views. If he is moderate and can keep the country and economy running, he will get my vote.

I am sick and tired af people claiming a vote for an independent is a wasted vote and then bemoan if the country is running an extreme way by either the democrat or a republican. Unless we encourage independent centrist candidates we will be left with the two loony party system.

To hell with the notion of Schultz joining the democrats if he wants to contest. Let him be independent and bring forth his views. If he does not make sense, he does not get my vote.

Howard Schultz shafted the people of Seattle by selling the NBA team, the Sonics, to Oklahoma. A lot of us have never forgiven him for doing that. I wouldn't vote for him anyway but just so you know, he is a back-stabber.

Many people are disgusted by both parties. He saw an opportunity for independents, but getting on the ballots without a party is still a tremendous amount of work. We'll see how much of that a billionaire is willing to do.
