Come on, now! She has the cash. Why didn't she pay the tax?

I know this is no political issue, but...

"When you're poor, it can be hard to pay the bills. When you're rich, it's hard to keep track of all the bills that need paying. It's a lesson Cindy McCain learned the hard way when NEWSWEEK raised questions about an overdue property-tax bill on a La Jolla, Calif., property owned by a trust that she oversees. Mrs. McCain is a beer heiress with an estimated $100 million fortune and, along with her husband, she owns at least seven properties, including condos in California and Arizona. San Diego County officials, it turns out, have been sending out tax notices on the La Jolla property, an oceanfront condo, for four years without receiving a response."

Just like the McCain's 6 figure outstanding credit card debt, this shows fiscal irresponsibility at the very least

Eh. Big deal. She paid them. A trust she oversees. She's a busy, wealthy woman, with a lot on her plate. She probably owns all kind of stuff like this.

Jealous?

Newsweek is a liberal newspaper. I dont know how they could possibly know if she paid taxes or not, becuase she hasnt released any of her finances.

Just like Newsweeks mediocre polls, this is horse crap.

That magazine is going down the toilet.

Property taxes are a public record, available to the public.

You can look all of that up very easily, it's public record.

I can see if my neighbor is late on his taxes if I want to.
