Really? Socialism means workers owning the means of production, like worker co-operatives. So instead of a top-down authoritarian hierarchy, the workers are the owners and their own bosses.

Americans have different ideas of what socialism means. This Gallup poll shows all the various meanings that respondents gave. It's all over the place. Everyone seems to have their own idea on what it means.
