It doesn't take much to get into Yale or Harvard if you're a wealthy legacy.

Thanks evilnewbie for confirming Bush's failing grades. I guess I am not the only one who has heard the same story about Bushs' years in college. Some people seem to think I might have made up this statement and my post was ridiculous but unfortunately it's true. Our President is ignorant which proves (lots of money) can take you anywhere, even the President of the United States.

Actually, if you go back & read my post you'll see that I never once defended or otherwise commented on our President's intelligence. What I said was that the logic you used to make your deduction was ridiculous. You said that a lot of people joke about it so it must be true. I stand by my criticism of that logic.

Nothing wrong with a "C" for the average Joe, but not the President.

It's a real shame that Bush's ability was misspent on the presidency.

He could have been the world's best assistant manager of a PayLess Shoe store.

I don't know that John McCain is more intelligent than Bush, but I do know that George Bush is more anti-intellectual than John McCain.

Agreed. Anytime people vote for someone because they are the kind of guy they would want to have a beer with, that pretty much sums of the mindset of those who voted for him doesn't it? I've notice lately, the few times Bush has appeared at the podium he has a bruise on his face, looks like he's fallen off the wagon . . . . again.

Default Who do you think is more intelligent, G.W. Bush or John McCain?

Like McCain, Bush was probably normal as a young man. But that was before he spent the 70s pickling his brain on whiskey and cocaine. Now, Mack is a light-year ahead of him.

I think Bush's Presidency can pretty much be summed up by how difficult it is to find anyone today who will actually admit to having VOTING for the guy. I'm serious! I mean, the moron got into the White House TWICE. SOMEONE voted for him! Can't blame them though, if it were me, I would have gotten out the Goo Gone and gotten that "W" sticker off my car window a long time ago.

As far as McCain goes, he is obviously more intelligent than Bush, it's a shame he was not better supported by his party in 2000 and 2004. Now, he's just too old, and I see shades of senility there. But I will always have more respect for someone who actually saw combat in serving his country over people like Bush and Cheney who hid behind their Daddies coat-tails like cowards, but who now think nothing of sending other people's kids off to fight and die in this war.
