40% of the population of New York state lives in New York City(historically, that was once 60%), 65% live within 100 miles of NYC( historically, that was once 80%)

The Empire States existence as you know it is because of NYC, including the moniker "Empire State" .

I'm sure they do. But the fact is that the residents of the five boroughs have more votes than the disgruntled folks do. Tell me, in all of your experience with voting in this country, have you ever seen the winners refuse to exercise their power, on the grounds of feeling sorry for the losers???
