Hillary Clinton needed Virginia and got it. Kaine probably wasn't necessary for that. She probably hoped for North Carolina but that was unlikely for her. Still a southern Governor / Senator made some sense to try to appeal to those who voted for her husband but might not for her.

I dunno if Sanders would have taken VP but I guess it wasn't considered.

I haven't studied Eisenhower's administration a lot but that he got spooked should be considered very serious even if late.

At least 35 other presidents deserve the hypocrite label more than Eisenhower.

Dwight D. Eisenhower on tax cuts and a balanced budget

Quote:
The fact is there must be balanced budgets before we are again on a safe and sound system in our economy. That means, to my mind, that we cannot afford to reduce taxes, reduce income, until we have in sight a program of expenditures that shows that the factors of income and of outgo will be balanced. Now that is just to my mind sheer necessity.

Warren isn't a fighter. She's a self serving loud mouth who hides between distortion and lies who also has had not one accomplishment in the US Senate that she can run on.

Excuse me but how would she win the primaries?
She has all the charisma of a raw potato.

Don't know if C-D has been following, but don't sleep on Warren. So far, she's the candidate that offers the most substantive policy positions and she's been connecting with voters lately. Just goes to show you, things can change in politics so fast. Excited to see how these primaries shake out.

She has lay out the most policies and is working hard but still think she is not the best candidate to attract the Great Lakes states voters the Party needs to win.

She has a TON of policies and for that reason, I'm starting to lean her way.

But I won't make up my mind this early.

Warren probably needs to compare and contrast her positions with Harris and Buttigieg more. To the extent that can be done.

While it is hard to compare with Buttigieg since he really hasn't committed to specific policies yet and being Mayor of South Bend isn't really relevant to national politics. Warren and Harris have senate voting records that can be compared, but I'm pretty sure they are basically indistinguishable on major issues.
