He said that Russell Vought's statement was hateful. It was. I say that as a Christian. If you are unable to treat everyone the same and respectable, you should not be in a public office. What he said does not mean he can not do that but it's fair to ask if he could.
Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
1 John 4:8
Vought explained several times his article was in reference to theological doctrine... and that he would treat all the same and with respect.
Bernie wouldn't let it go without a renouncement of Vought's beliefs... it will cost him any chance at ever becoming president.
She just really believed, and still believes, that being the first woman President is her birthright and something that is owed to her somehow, that's why she can't just let the facts rest that she ran a crappy campaign, is personally abrasive and unlikable, and lost the election fair and square.
I can't personally stand her but I can understand why it would be an incredibly bitter pill to swallow to accept that for decades she has remained in a sham of a marriage that has been riddled with adultery almost since day one because it was politically advantageous for her and, she felt, would help guarantee her the White House one day, only to be beat by Donald Trump, of all people.
Personally, I think that Trump has been a great President, but if someone had told me even five years ago that he, a brash New York businessman with zero political experience, would run for President and beat an old political hack with a lot of powerful people in her back pocket like Hillary, I would never have believed it. So imagine how she must feel, when she had already been practicing writing "President Hillary Clinton" for the past umpteen years.
Hillary has really underestimated how repulsive she is.

Ouch! The truth hurts, but is necessary for growth.

Well, I don't know...but she had a lot of baggage to begin with, a lot of people just don't like her, and
she truthfully ran a terrible campaign.
Yeah, she had a lot of baggage alright!
The campaign was fine (certainly well financed).
The problem for Hillary Clinton was that she had to run for office as Hillary Clinton.
