Anderson Cooper 360: Blog Archive - Lanny Davis: The Top Ten List of Undisputed Facts Showing Barack Obama’s Weakness « - Blogs from CNN.com

This is key;

Quote:
6. Barack Obama hasn’t won a single major industrial state that historically constitute the key “battleground” states for both parties, i.e., the states in the last three or four presidential elections have switched back and forth between the Democratic and Republican presidential candidates

7. The reason that he lost can be found in the demographic data: He lost — and Senator Clinton won — by substantial margins blue collar and middle class white voters earning under $50,000 a year, senior citizens, rural voters, Hispanic voters, and women voters — all core constituencies in the Democratic base that must be won if a Democrat is to win the White House. For example, yesterday in Pennsylvania she won Roman Catholics by 32 percent (66034), union households by 18% (59-41), and those most concerned about the economy by 16 points (58-42). Only 60 percent of Democratic Catholic voters said they would vote for Mr. Obama in a general election.

8. Barack Obama has lost these same demographic groups in Massachusetts, Ohio, Texas, California and New Jersey and other major states that Senator Clinton won. There is a factual pattern of his weakness among these demographic groups in virtually every primary state that cannot be disputed.

Give me a break. No Democrat could possibly lose those states in the general.

Unless of course Hillary is aiming for the GOP nomination as a backup. Hey, you never know. Lanny wants back in the White House so bad....

Don't be so sure! You may be suprised. Sure a couple of them will for sure go Democrat but there are a few that could go either way and the Republicans know it and will fight hard. When the citizens of those states see Obama run and hide with his tail between his legs they will think twice before voting for him.

What will he be hiding from? A 71-year old guy with possible recurrent melanoma who admits he knows nothing about economics and wants to stay the course in Iraq?

You need to wake up and smell that mocha, Alan!

Since Lani Davis has been an apologist for the Clintons since the 90s I cannot listen to him. He swore up and down there was no affair, etc and now his credibility is shot with me. He reminds me of Bagdhad Ali in that respect. He could be perfectly sincere. I just can't look at him.

Oh, you are right they will be in the same boat!!! Neither one knows anything about economics and if you think Obama will take troops out of Iraq without thinking of the reprecussions you are sadly mistaken and so is he. He just won't do it, none of them will. And when Rev. Wright is following Obama around and his terrorist buddies are there at his side you don't think the Republicans will take advantage of it. You see the difference between you and I is I can smell the coffee but the Obamaniacs have lost their sense of smell completely. If they hadn't they would know a rat when they smelled one

Jesus Christ!....now the argument has come down to Households, and blue collar white working class, and the bitter folks % wins. Old Grumpy Lanny can talk all the talk but the bottom line this race has never been about % or certain states or whatsoever, it's about the delegate count. When a candidate reaches the magic # they win the nomination. McCain is running uncontested, how are they sure that he is gonna be competitive in GE in those remaining states that he's running uncontested?

I think that a 46 year old man who keeps being told he is brilliant and who thinks he knows how to run this country but doesn't is a much worse choice. It's a wise man that knows his limitations.

From the last debate, it's clear that Obama doesn't know what to do with our economy.

Obama's Switcheroo - WSJ.com

And btw I think this quote from another board spot on... "socialism isn't about the redistribution of wealth, rather the redistribution of poverty".
