I suppose you are right, but it is certainly a hell lot more money and I, or anyone in my family has ever made. I get a little miffed when people act like they can barely live off of a salary of almost six figures, when I know my sister is raising a family of five on less than 35k.

All that are complaining about tax cuts or tax increases here's some truth you may have to swallow. I don't care who gets in power at this point. Look at where the Country is and if you think for one minute that you are not going to be paying more tax then your stupid. A lot of what you are hearing from all candidate is pandering. If they all want to turn this Country around then be prepared to pay more tax. That's the only way you are going to get these credits and health care and Educational funding and everything else they are promising. Look at what this war alone is costing. Where is all this $ coming from. The Republicans will keep the Country in recession until the war ends. They may not raise your tax at first but eventually it will be raised. Either that or they will sell the Country to China etc. What will we be called then. The United States of America owned and operated by China.

We all make choices in life. The person making six figures is not responsible for the decisions your sister made. My family lived on less than that at one time and yes it was hard, but I certainly didn't think someone making more should be penalized for my lower earnings.

It is possible that her sister's husband deserted the family and ran off with a blonde- sort of like McCain did. It is also possible that the sister had a better job but lost it because of the Bush policies.

Speculation, but the person making six figures is stil not responsible. I don't care for socialism.

I haven't seen this interview, but I'm not surprised that you found Chris Wallace to run a decent interview. I watch Fox probably more than any other channel (the 2nd would be PBS, especially the NewsHour and the local political programming) and Wallace is really quite good. I had a bias toward him before I watched him a few times....that being that he is the "son of" in this case Mike Wallace. This son or daughter of thing usually makes me assume they got the job through the connection, but happily I think Wallace got this job on talent. I tivo'd it and will watch tonight.

How do you propose the tax code then work, tax the poor people at the expense of the wealthy? Either way, someone's getting taxed, that is just the nature of our government, it taxes people.

Unless you are proposing a complete restructuring of the tax code (which you may very well be, but if that is the case, then you'd be best off not voting for any of the three candidates), then there will be taxes. Personally, if someone has to pay taxes, I'd rather see wealthier people pay taxes versus poorer people paying taxes. I imagine only the truly amoral would propose the opposite.

Of course I wish that nobody would have pay any taxes and everything would just magically fix itself, but realistically, we've painted ourself into one hell of a fiscal corner, someone is going to end up paying for it.

My point is that the income level Obama considers wealthy is a joke. Of course, those that are truly wealthy should pay more taxes than the poor, but 75,000 or even 100,000 a year is not wealthy. If someone is making over 100,000 a year they are paying too much tax right now, much less raising it. If you make over 100,000 a year you are subject to an extra tax call the "alternative minumum tax" that tacks on more tax liability.

Ooh KevK is at it again... Fox news was fair and balanced even in your mind, but not enough to qualify for you to call them by name...

Obama did great during the interview and dont be surprise to see the polls bounce up in his favor. Even Brit on Fox News Sunday said Obama did a good job.
