As I stated last week, Obama is self-destructing. Bittergate, guns, hiding from Hillary's calls for one-on-one debates, listening to racist preaching, connections with Weather Underground bombers, connection with Illinois party corruption, etc. are taking a toll. A few interesting trends:

- Obama's support has collapsed among democrats over the past couple weeks:
WH2008: Democrats

- Republicans are suddenly savoring a McCain vs. Obama contest:
Rasmussen Reports™: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election. (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/republicans_grow_more_confident_in_running_against _obama - broken link)

- Obama's connections with the corrupt Illinois democrats is beginning to come forward with the trial of his associate, Tony Rezko.

- Hillary continues to embarrass Obama by reiterating his refusal to come out and debate one-on-one.

- Hillary will tout, correctly, that she has received more votes than any democratic presidential candidate.

Get out the pop corn.

Obama will be fine. He is going to win and by November all this stuff will be unimportant. I suspect unemployment will creep up to about 6 to7% by then and inflation will be high too. Obama will use the "misery index" on McCain like a Headmaster uses a paddle on a grade schooler!

Why, you sound positively giddy in hoping that economic misery will elect your candidate. That's really sick.

I'm guessing you believe it isn't the one currently in receipt of the majority of votes cast. . . .

Obamatrons have a unique counting procedure; busy counting the yet to vote superdelegates while ignoring the actual votes of two states.

CURRENTLY, Obama is ahead so we will just stick to that fact at the present time.

We are only going to fix the mess yet another Bush left behind. Bill fixed the first one, Obama will have to clean up this one.
