I'm talking about 4 and 5 year olds seeing people they see as their fathers get killed. Now if their parents are letting them watch murders and mayhem on tv instead of Sesame Street I don't agree with that either nor will I defend them for that but these kids see the soldiers as their fathers. If you don't care about the children then what will the world be like when they are adults. We should teach them peace and tolerance but not destroy them with ads because one group wants to get a couple votes. Do you think these ads sway many voters. I don't, I still don't know who I will vote for in November but I will vote for the most qualified person. I don't think that the Democrats will get troops out of Iraq, I don't think they can without a huge consequences. No, I don't think that we should have gone to war in the first place. It really takes a sick mind to say that one doesn't care about the children or the effects something might have on them.
In a country where tv ads make up billions of dollars, there is a good bet that the ads do sway voters. We say we don't like negative ads, but they work.
No wonder I am a former democrat. They could care less about the soldiers and their families, all they want it power and control.
They want to get out of Iraq, sure they do. They are lying to us all when they say they care about the soldiers, they could care less about them.
They have become a low life group of wacko nuts who have destroyed the party wit their lies, deciet and fraudulent ways.
And they think the rep party is bad, the democratic party is a mess, full of idiots and needs to be overhauled.
Poor choices, bad decisions and lack of a real leader makes up the new democratic party and they will pay for their undermining of this war, if not soon I hope the party pays for it in time because they have done nothing but hurt our efforts to win the war.
EX: latest bill for the soldiers, Nancy Pelosi wanted to add unemployment benefits to the bill. What an idiot!

Someone needs to demand this be pulled or the DNC should be fined 100 million and shut down for being a traitor party. Toss Howard Dean into jail and start right down the line.

A good friend of mine is a Staff Sgt in the Army Reserve and he had to purchase his own body armor costing him over 2k. They gave him a chest plate for one of the worst jobs in war...a truck driver from Kuwait City to Baghdad.
Our military is in trouble folks, McCain would make it worse, the ad speaks the truth.

The Democratic National Committee has sparked outrage among veterans and others across the internet by running an anti-John McCain ad that shows U.S. soldiers being blown up.
The DNC ad then shows an explosive device detonating near two soldiers standing beside a palm tree. The two soldiers disappear in an explosive fireball.
The footage appears similar to film taken by jihadists who videotape IED explosions that kill American combat troops. The jihadists place the video on the internet to tout their "kill Americans" campaign success. The Army estimates that more than 6,500 jihadist Web sites promote violence against America and American troops.
Many U.S. media outlets have refused to air excerpts from such videos for several reasons - including out of respect of the servicemen and women depicted in the videos.
The DNC apparently does not agree.

Are soldiers NOT being blown up? We don't have enough graphic images coming out of Iraq. The government won't let the news media report by SHOWING what is really going on, with blood, bodies everywhere. If people saw a fraction of the death and bloodshed, it would infuriate people even more and there would be protests all over the place (like there was during the Vietnam War). Quit trying to hide what is really going on. War ain't pretty. People are being blown up, dying, getting maimed. I don't care what political party we belong to; it doesn't change the fact of what is happening.

If you don't want your 4 and 5 year-olds to see something, then turn off the TV. Many of us have kids here. I have 7, from ages 24 to age 6. My 22 year-old is in the military as well. The quicker the people see what is really going on vs. talking points of either party, the quicker the parents will get home to their children. "The children, the children, what will it do to the children" is a cop-out. The death of their mother or father dying in the war will be a whole heck more traumatic than images seen on TV. Again, they don't show these types of images on stations that air Sesame Street during the hours that Sesame Street and those type shows are aired.

You could very easily find this info on google. What surprises me is that you sound like this is new or some ploy?
Even generals on the ground in Iraq have stated that soldiers sometimes had to go rummaging through scrap metal to outfit vehicles with.
