One of my big concerns (as a Gulf War vet) is that we may get a president like Obama with no experience and a withdrawl plan that will place men & women serving in a very dangerous way. Clearly, if the "send a brigade home a moonth" plan is instituted, the results could be catastrophic. While I'm not a McCain fan (and may not vote for him), in this area I have great confidence that when the troops are withdrawn (and I hope it's soon, as it's time to let others try and stabilize the region) it is done right.

I'm more worried that Obama would rule like Jacques Chirac than Al Sharpton.

I don't like the cheekiness of 3 ineffective senators, who share a 22% approval rating, thinking they deserve a promotion and somehow a fairy will wave a magic wand and make them effective on inauguration day.

For every "idea" they have, I ask, "Well, why didn't you do something about it in the Senate instead of just talking it into the ground, like forever?"

The thing that sticks in my mind the most from the primaries is Mitt Romney's "Washington is Broken" speech when he said something like --- they said would cut earmarks and pork barrel spending and they haven't, they said they would fix social security and they haven't, they said they would aspire to higher ethics and they haven't, they said they would make us energy independent and they haven't, they said they would imrove education and they haven't, etc.. And I would like to add my own, they said they would work on tax simplification and they haven't. It's not a Republican/Democrat issue. We have three D Grade candidates that are trying to make us believe we should promote them. Now, that's audacity.

A very interesting point. We all have to remember that it's not only the president, but the "president's men (and women)" we have to consider in this area.

Well put. Are you sure that these 3 deserve D grades?

The is a lot that is WRONG about Barack Obama that you should know about before deciding that his finger should be on the trigger.

First and foremost he has never served in the military and has little or no knowledge of the military. When he visited Ft. Bragg in April reporters said he appeared "startled and shocked" at the military hardware and asked questions "like an elementary school student". He doesn't have the knowledge or the capability of leading the military and making decisions that will affect millions of lives.

What attributes does he have that would serve him as commander in chief of the largest and most powerful military in the world? In all likelyhood he would be no better or worse than Bush.

Secondly did you realize that Obama was raised by a mother who associated with known Communists and considered herself a Communist sympathizer? She participated in anti-American rallies and handed out Communist and Socialist literature in Hawaii. Barack Obama's father was a Kenyan Communist who abandoned his US family and went back to Kenya to take a job in a corrupt socialist government. When Barack, Jr and his mother left Hawaii for Indonesia she told friends she was glad to be leaving the USA and democracy for a life in a Socialist county. Barack grew up hearing his mother speak hatefully about the United States. When he returned to Hawaii to live with his white grandparents she arranged for him to meet and have lessons on Marxist Communism from Poet and Communist labor activist Frank Davis. Barack refers to him in his first book as "Frank, a father figure" but does not explain that he was a Communist identified by the FBI and suspected of organizing labor and race riots in the 1950's and 1960's.

After graduating from Harvard Obama moved to Chicago where he soon joined Reverend Jerimiah Wright's church. Wright's version of Christianity called Liberation Theology is a hate filled, racist and anti-American. Barack sat there and for 20+ years did not complain, protest or walk out. He listened and took it in. He listened as Wright blasphemed and used vulgar language in front of his 2 young girls. Barack listened and did nothing! He listened as Wright blamed America and cursed the government screaming obsenities. Barack listened and did nothing! He listened as Wright simulated sexual acts and used filthy language and expressions from his pulpit. Barack Obama listened and did nothing!

Any normal person would have protested, told the preacher he was not doing his job of preaching the love of God and the salvation of Jesus Christ, and most of us would have walked out! Barack Hussein Obama did nothing! That reveals a lot about the character of Barack Obama. Even Oprah, who attended Wright's church briefly, walked out and never returned. At least she had the strength of character and good sense to realize it was wrong.

Posts dont get much better then this. Can you post this exact writing everyplace you can? It pretty much tells all the dirty tales of this useless waste of a human. The only thing that will haunt me for the rest of my life is knowing that those who know all this about Obama Salami will still vote for the bum. Can anyone imagine some one (his wife) who hates America as much as she does sitting in the White House? I once read she hates America more then Bin Ladin. Now that is a pretty lot of hate. What kind of bed time stories do they talk about every night?

What has become particularly telling throughout this process is the way in which people not only assimilate information, but are influenced by it. Take for instance the post you attribute accolades to. When has any of us ever known everything, such that we can claim to be the expert on anything. I'm happy just watching someone learn -

Once upon a time a visitor came to the monastery looking for the purpose and meaning of life.

The teacher said to the visitor, 'If what you seek is Truth, there is one thing you must have above all else.'

"I know," said the visitor. "To find truth I must have an overwhelming passion for it."

"No," the Teacher said. "In order to find Truth, you must have an unremitting readiness to admit you may be wrong."

This is a concern for us all. But none of the candidates have experience running a war-time economy nor Experience as Commander in Chief. Since this is the case, and I personally have many relatives & friends in harms way, I am looking for the person with the clearest vision for conflict resolution. If nothing else this conflict (primary process) is particularly telling in how one faces adversity and advances along the way. Do they do this by sacrificing principles, we are beginning to see - time is still available.

Truth is the daughter of time, not of authority.

I certainly appreciate your service to this country. However, I find it odd that you would say everyone should research each candidate fairly, yet immediately you start a propaganda speech pushing Obama.

The Rev Wright thing is actually very funny to me. Its entertainment and Obama is getting the same crap that his supporters would have given another candidate had they been the one with the crazy uncle or whatever. The same people who are saying we need to get off this topic are the same ones who wouldn't let it go if the tables were turned and it was Hillary with a 20 year MENTOR who spouted hateful and divisive sermons.

Anyways, I wouldn't have voted for Obama anyway. Too much support for gun control regulations tops my list of reasons why. I don't need the Rev Wright fiasco to make me not vote for Obama. Its not even on my list of reasons I won't vote for Obama, however, it is funny to watch him squirm trying to make it all go away.

Hi there,

Thanks again for the service you've given to our great country! We owe you a debt of gratitude.

Unfortunately, I must respectfully disagree with you on your choice of candidates to support.
I'll choose the lesser of two evils and go for John McCain.

Take care

What the hell are you talking about? No one NO ONE influences me. I take the truth and never make claims that some one dubbed a speech or some one took what some one said out of context. It is is on tape it is true. It happened.

Your hero Obama Salami Hussien is a muslim at heart. He spent 23 years supporting a Louis Farrakhan wanabe fake Rev who preached hate against whites and America. His skank wife openly admitted to the world she always hated America. I know I know some one dubbed in those words. She did not actually say it right?

Your so damn smart you turned into a sucker. Send your famous people quotes for your new hero. You sure are going to need it.
