Ok..Obama wins those counties by a huge margin. Basically we are talking Charlotte, Greensboro, Raleigh-Durham and Winston-Salem. All of those areas were supposed to go to Obama, they are pretty much the urban areas of NC. What do urban areas have that demographically favor obama? Mostly Blacks and liberal college towns (RDU, Chapel Hill, and to some degree Winston-Salem). I'm curious, however, what in particular makes you think that Randolph and Davidson counties are racist?

Well said jmarquise, and I apologize for the pompous a** comment. I am not happy with things either, which you can certainly see from some of my other posts. And my first choice was Ron Paul, but as everyone knows, he will not be allowed to win. He is not even allowed to be known. Nine out of ten people have never even heard of him. I just know that I don't want McCain, and I don't want Hillary. So, I feel like I chose the lesser of three evils. Anyway, good talking to ya. Have a good one.

So yes, with Obama as the nominee NC is in play.

I've posted this many times on here..polling for a general election in May is Waaayyy to early to get excited. You do realize that according to some polls, McCain is making it a race in New York and California. If you shop long enough, one can find a poll that supports your candidate.

There are over 250,000 people in the RDU area, and I'm pretty sure a big portion of those people are not black or in college. They are just people. People sick of bulls@#t answers to our country's most important questions. And Obama addresses those concerns with far more down to earth solutions that really make sense. So forget black, white, red, and yellow. This election is bigger than race.

That's all fine and well. However, some of your fellow Obamaites like to characterize Clinton supporters as white, working class, uneducated, rural voters etc. Note a double standard there?

I hear you friend. I actually can be a bit of a pompous azzhole. I admit my faults. I can't bring myself to vote for the best of the worst. if I vote in the general election, it will be for bob barr, or ron paul. the libertarain candidate has not been crowned yet. I want the best for the country, however we haven't had a good president in almost 100 years. calvin coolidge was my last favorite.
it's hard being a libertarian deist. I am hated by each of the parties!

there are millions in the RDU area. there are lots of college students. duke, UNC, NC state, wake forest, ect. you are correct though, there are lots of normal people here. I agree with you on the race thing. we also need to forget about religion in this election.
