Serious question, without getting into (D) vs. (R).
While no one agrees with everything their party does, are you really ok with the (D's) embracing all the anti-police, pro-illegal immigration, pro-BLM/Antifa, and gender issues like boys & men competing in girls & womens sports (to name just a few)?

Me personally?
1) I think anti-police is dumb, but the police need to be trained to serve and protect all people, which would require us to pay them a heck of a lot more dough. I am fine paying the extra money for the better service.
2) pro-illegal immigration? Sure. Screen out the bad actors, to the extent practical (bad actors are born here too but never identified), but don't slow immigration to a trickle so that you can interview the neighbors of every person who wants to come here and earn $15 an hour washing toilets.
3) pro-BLM/Antifa? Heck yeah. Why would anyone be against equality for all human beings and against fascism?
4) Gender issues - If a biological male who identifies as female wants to pee in the girls room, I think I can deal. I am not down with biological males competing as females in sports, especially ones like weight lifting and wrestling.

I don't recall the Democrats-"Leftist (only by rural Deep South standards*)" ever even threatening to storm the capitol to overturn the election. The "worst" my side did was to protest Trump's inaguration at a safe distance. Even when property was destroyed, the leaders of BLM and such condemned the criminals attaching themselves to the protesters.
