Good summary of the 29 election lawsuits filed in the presidential election.
"....To be sure, that is still a lot of cases. Yet to understand why there is still widespread unease with the election, would it not be better to stop demanding conformity and instead dig deeper to see what the courts told us in those cases, and what they did not? A review of them shows that, contrary to a common narrative, few were ever considered on the merits...."
There were a lot of "death by technicalities" because those are the sorts of lawsuits they brought or the stretching the lawyers did to grasp at straws.
Standing is a cornerstone of lawsuits. You have to show you were affected, that it was caused by the defendents, and that the court can actually provide remedy for the plaintiff. It's not a mere technicality if a judge rules based on that. It's a key component.
So, for example, from the article about Trump vs. Boockvar:
Quote:
So the judge effectively created a legal “Catch 22” in which one must show direct harm from an unrelated party in order to prevail.
is a wrong claim. The judge was correct in his ruling. They tried suing Defendent counties that had nothing to do with their Plaintiffs since they didn't live there or have anything to do with their ballots. No standing. They could have tried to sue their R counties for not providing curing or something.
The Texas Supreme Court was a bonkers Hail Mary and quite possibly a ploy by Ken Paxton to get a pardon from Trump for his legal woes. Texas had no standing here.
Just so many problems with the claims in this article and the lawsuits themselves.
Read the actual complaints (lawsuit filings) and judges' opinions (rulings) yourself to see what actually went on. A whole bunch of cruddy spaghetti flinging to see if they could get anything to stick.

That Trump's own legal teams were unable to bring to the courts any lawsuits based on "the merits" of Trump's claims of fraud, tells you that Trump's claims of fraud had no merits!

Exactly. All this fraud talk is just deluded fantasy put forth by Trump fanatics. They cannot accept reality and have made up election fraud as an excuse to dispute results to make them feel better.
There`s "widespread unease" about the election only among people who are crazy and/or just stupid. We see letters to the editors of newspapers from loons claiming there were "irregularities" but they never say what those irregularities are. It`s as over as over can be.

So you want the courts to take up lawsuits that are filed by people who have no legal standing, and to investigate things that the courts have no authority to adjudicate?
That is a very strong statement in support of a massive expansion of judicial authority. Most conservatives are not in favor of an active judiciary.
Where does it stop? I certainly don't have standing to sue you for embezzlement from your employer back in the 1970s, and it would be beyond the statute of limitations anyway. Do you support the judiciary being used in this instance? After all, I am just asking questions, and people want to know if you embezzled.
