If you had to be a college graduate, Obama would lose 1/2 of his supporters, if not more.

I'm a college graduate and I'm not for Obama.

Probably more than 50% I would say given some of the responses on this forum!

Strong assumption. Do you have factual data?

So the polling data is false?

What percentage of educated (how defined?) people have voted for any candidate. I doubt if anyone has a majority of considering the number of candidates and independents.

It's no accident that Obama performs very well in cities with large universities and colleges. The areas where information and knowledge are held at a high premium - where people are well-informed, have access to information, and possess the critical thinking skills needed to process this information - vote for Obama.
Yes, they are very well educated by liberal schools of indoctrination. They may be "educated" but they are not wise! They are not educated in the true history of this Christian nation; they are not educated enough to recognize socialist communism when they see it; they are not educated enough to realize that success comes from (and rightly so) hard work, conscientiousness and responsibility; they are not educated enough to realize that multiculturalism and tolerance will destroy this nation; they are not educated enough to understand that government itself has become the enemy and not the solution! In fact, government is NEVER the solution!

They're not educated enough to have become reactionary isolationist far-right nutcases, in other words.

I thnik that this was a stupid question to begin with. Look at the educated people that run washington and the mess they have us in now.My guess is that if educated people only could vote then they could do it by income earnings. Bet that would widen the income gap that so many complain about now.One thing it would do is eliminate these activist actors from even voting.

I would bet that wall street would rule the day and those that are in the top 10% minus the actors etc.Afterall people with a education make alot more than those that don't on average and most are in the markets.

I wonder what would happen if we passed a constitutional amendment allowing only those with a college education and higher the right to vote. Or for those who can't go to college for whatever reason, they should at least pass some kind of mental aptitude or intelligence test before being allowed to vote. Will our country be better off or worse off as a result? Would a presumably wise electorate produce a wise leader akin to Plato's philosopher-king?

I'm not necessarily advocating this.....I'm just wondering what the implications are of such a system.

better yet, instead of people with an education, how about property owners only being allowd to vote?
then liberals would never see the light of day in any political office.
