Ca. Rep. Jim Costa has endorsed Obama and fellow Ca. Rep. Dennis Cardoza has switched from Clinton to Obama saying:
Quote:
"This is the most important election of my lifetime. While I continue to greatly respect and admire Senator Clinton and feel she has made history with her campaign, I believe that Senator Obama will inevitably be our party’s nominee for President. He has proven himself to be a thoughtful, knowledgeable, and inspirational leader and will take America in a new direction, which we desperately need"
Never to late to see the light Rep. Cardoza. According to DCW this now gives Obama 308.5 SDs to Clintons 278.5, most importantly he now has 1966 delegates only 59 away from making his nomination official.
Obama has picked up another superdelegate, Ore. DNC member Jenny Greenleaf. He has also picked up two pledged Edwards delegates. The numbers now show Obama with 1969 delegates only 56 away from claiming the nomination.

You know this primary has prompted me to delve through the pages of my old poli-sci book because I’m a little unimpressed by the super delegates switching sides this late in the game. It seems to me like you’re just jumping to what looks like the sure thing, even though it’s not what you really believed in.
Can someone give me the 411 on super delegates? Maybe the schoolhouse rock version because I definitely understand how a bill becomes a law thanks to Rocky!
