Obama rightly told the old warmonger what he could do with his invitation to visit Iraq:

Quote:
"John McCain's proposal is nothing more than a political stunt, and we don't need any more 'Mission Accomplished' banners or walks through Baghdad markets to know that Iraq's leaders have not made the political progress that was the stated purpose of the surge. The American people don't want any more false promises of progress, they deserve a real debate about a war that has overstretched our military, and cost us thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars without making us safer."

I hope that's going to get as much press as the stupid McCain thing did. I bet it doesn't.

I hate that Obama turned it down, it could have been a learning experience for him. Obama is just as victimized by the media was the rest of us.

He'll go when it's time. He was there in 2006. Right now he's got this primary to get through. But he wont go as the little naive boy guest of McCain on McCain's terms. Who was really just indulging in typical bullying bluster when he said that anyway.

Obama's statement says it all, the invitation was nothing more than a cheap political stunt.

I love it how earlier people were saying it would be the right thing to do if Obama accepted the offer to visit, and now that Obama said no, naturally his supporters do to, LOL.
