I don't get it. He won the primary easily enough.

RealClearPolitics - Election 2008 - Alabama: McCain vs. Obama

Down 28 points to McCain?! Get outta here!

I thought the Republicans were flocking to Obama!

Q: When was the last time Alabama went to a Democratic presidential candidate?

A: 1976

Was there some sort of a point you were angling towards?

I don't figure Obama to win Alabama, but I do give him a shot in places like Georgia and North Carolina. Not a lock, but a chance.

Most of Alabama's potential Democratic voters (blacks and transplants) do not take the time to register. In most rural parts of the state, voter turnout is incredibly low, as most locals do not know about, or do not care for politics (no wonder they live such stress free lives!).

He has to pick his staes. With his weakeness in so many key large democratic staes agianst clinton he has to concentrate on them. That si why clinton has shown mpe strength for a general elction because there are no cancuses and winner takes all.He certainly can even use the popular vote should decide after this primary season or disenfranchised voters. If thuis primary had been the general election hillary would be the nominee by now.

Could be.

"Further evidence that Operation Chaos may be skewing polls was provided by Sen. Clinton's May 21, 2008, overwhelming win of 65% to Obama's 30% in Kentucky. According to CNN exit polls, 41% of Clinton supporters said they'd cast their vote for McCain, and 23% said they would not vote at all."
