I was just watching ABC and Obama was giving a speech at the Xcel center where he announced that he IS the nominee for the democratic party.
However, Hillary has not yet dropped off the race.
ABC News: Obama Clinches Democratic Nomination; Clinton Refuses to Concede
Obama secured all the superdelegates he needed and he is going down in history as the First Black Man to run for president of the US...

Don't get your hopes up. I'm sure Hillary's next step will be to have Bill run over by the secret service to generate some sympathy votes at the convention. It won't be over between Barack and Hillary until Nomember, even if he is the official nominee. If she doesn't become president, then she won't let this drop for the next four years. We'll have to endure her continuous whining that Obama stole the primary from her, and how she would have beat McCain (if he wins).

I support Hillary Clinton

Yes I know it was the superdelegates who gave him the nomination... meaning they nominated the wrong candidate ( if he is the nominee as it seems for the media )

Woot Hillary

Well..technically since they gave him 55 MI delegates that he didn't deserve.

I don't know why he did that. It looked bad and the voters in MI can't be happy about it. He could have just said give them all to Hill&Bill and it wouldn't have made a hill of beans difference. He would have reached the magic number anyway.

Now the clintons can say he pilfered votes that weren't his.

You have a point...but I feel the DNC had no choice but to punish both FL and MI for breaking party rules.

That's fine, punish them. But something just smells when they award delegates to Obama and his name wasn't even on the ballot. These 30 people ASSUMED to know the will and intent of the voters in MI.

That just doesn't sit right.

Reminds me of the hanging chad fiasco in FL.
