Hmmmm wasn't it a Democratic candidate and supporters strongly suggesting that the party base ( White lower income) wouldn't vote for a Black Man?

Wasn't it the White DEMOCRATIC governor of Pennsylvania who said White Democrats in Pennsylvania wouldn't support a Black nominee. Was't it that same White Democrat who defeated the Black nominee for governor? Seem like the Democrats have been making the case for racism in their party!

Wink Wink
How can anyone doubt the racism of the party with the above information in mind?
These are all appointed not elected. How many AA repubs in the Senate and House? A good indication of party makeup are the conventions. It was such a joke at the last repub convention. The stage overflowing with AA's and a handful of delegates on the floor.

Oh, come on now, share this info with us so we don't just blame the Dems for being blatant racists and race baiters.

McCain's Base - Solid as a Sponge

Let’s face it, folks. McCain entered the presidential race with a solid base of intelligent, politically-savvy supporters – we ignore them at our peril.

They are:

People who think gas prices are way too low.

People over a hundred who want to see that young go-getter in the Oval Office.

People who think Bush didn’t finish the job of destroying the country, and want a president who will complete the task.

People who have seen the debacle in Iraq go from bad to worse on every level, but think “another hundred years” there will turn the tide.

People who believe that knowing the difference between Sunni and Shia is not really important in dealing with the ME.

People who are satisfied with “so don’t get sick” as the definitive answer to the health care crisis.

People who are confident that a candidate who admits he “doesn’t know much about the economy” will get the country back-on-track financially.

People who think comb-overs are way cool.

People who think publicly celebrating your birthday with the president while people in NOLA are drowning personifies compassionate conservatism.

People who are struggling to make ends meet, but are nonetheless horrified at the thought of tax-cuts for billionaires being rescinded.

People who believe the next Republican POTUS will overturn Roe v Wade – just like the last GOP president promised to do, and the one before that, and the one before that …

People who are tired of working and want their jobs outsourced so they can have some leisure time.

People who see McCain as a maverick – who just “happens” to vote along party lines 95 percent of the time.

People who see the obvious logic in the statement that American workers would never pick lettuce for a paltry fifty bucks an hour.

People who believe that McCain isn’t like Bush, based on the fact that McCain says he’s not like Bush, all evidence to the contrary be damned.

People who think that spending billions on a war we’re losing is preferable to spending billions on silly things at home – such as education, infrastructure maintenance, and other such trivialities.

People who believe that the national debt is just some numbers on a piece of paper somewhere – and we can always print more money if we run out.

People who have figured out that the unemployment crisis is due to the arrogant sense of “entitlement” of those wanting to find a job and make a living.

People who realize that dumping your wife because she got fat (even if she did wait for you while you were a POW) is demonstrative of upstanding moral character.

People who were thrilled to have a president who put his foot in his mouth every time he opened it, and are ecstatic at the thought of having another!

People who believe that the current administration has done a swell job, and are anxiously hoping that someone will pick up the reins and continue to keep us “on the wrong track”.

People who think the "bomb, bomb Iran" sing-song was just – well, just so cute in a karaoke, retrospective, American Idol sort of way!

People who think it’s called the White House for a reason.

And, of course, the greatest majority of McCain supporters: People who don’t think – never have, never will.
Wow, I'd have never guessed that this inane drivel comes from some old hag blogger at DUmmieland. Funny she accuses McCain supporters of never thinking after writing that little mess. Your boy is in real trouble if this is the best you can come up with.

A big fat ZERO as in nil. Include governors in that as well, as the GOP continues to be fueled by an undeniable element within their party...racists and racism.

McCain base is made up of people: (1) who dislike pork barrel (2) who want to cut down government wastes (3) who want low taxes (4) who are fiscal conservatives (5) who appreciate his service for this country, etc etc

McCain has a lot of qualities that are admired by a lot of people.

Right. I guess this republican racism fueled Bush picking Rice...and the entire rep party standing behind Judge Thomas whom they admire and adore. And that's why the conservatives hate that brilliant writer Tom Sowell. Not to mention our disgust at JC Watts... and it's just us pretending to admire Ken Blackwell, Roderick Page, Keith Butler, Micahel Stele, Lynn Swann, Shelby Steel, Alveda King, Colin Powell....I could go on you know...this is just a short list.

Do you notice one trait the above share? That's right, they are conservatives and are the really, really stellar individuals. The race baiting dems are finally, this election cycle, being exposed for what they are. Racism is disgusting and you guys use it to your benefit. I would be ashamed. And you don't even have the intellectual honesty to admit it to yourself.

From today's Rasmussen (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll - broken link) poll:

Obama is supported by 81% of Democrats and now holds a very modest three-point edge over McCain among unaffiliated voters. Both those figures reflect a significant improvement over the past week. McCain attracts 83% of Republicans
