I don't think I've ever heard it mentioned

I think his Dad was named Sidney too. It's an old fashioned name and sure doesn't fit him. I always think of a little 98lb weakling when I hear that name. John McCain is a little tough guy.

It is sidney but nobody cares because it's not Hussein. I would love some of the right wingers who always mention Barack's middle name to always call him John sidney mccain. They claim they are not trying to incite hate and fear when they use barack's middle name but we all know that's a lie.

Considering McCain is in his seventies and has health issues, I think it would be more appropriate to use the past tense as in.. McCain was a little tough guy,

Behind the Name: Meaning, Origin and History of the Name Sidney

SIDNEY
Gender: Masculine & Feminine

Usage: English

Pronounced: SID-nee [key]

Either from a French place name which was a contraction of "Saint DENIS", or from an Old English surname which meant "wide island". A famous bearer of the surname was Sir Philip Sidney, an English poet and statesman of the 16th century.

Guess this means he could go either way. Be a real switch hitter.

I mean go both ways as in political party.

No, he IS a tough litttle guy. Do you doubt that McCain couldn't knock that little little pansy Barry's block off?

I weigh 120lbs and I'm a girl and I bet I could take that metrosexual/multi-cultural/ohsoemptysuitish girly man.

Did you see your messiah biking last weekend. What a dufus.
