The thread is about the "democratic Party" and last I checked, Democrats are also supported the federal government taking over health care, along with various other parts of society so yes, pointing out how someone who has been in power for numerous years, a member of the Democratic party who makes no attempt to hide their communistic thoughts is right on topic with the thread.

Last time I checked, our ancesters did that already and it didnt work out. Thats the reason they came here and formed a country that was supposed to be free from opression.

While our opression is no where close to Cuba.. who can fault us for trying to keep it that way?

Just because Obama isnt outright proposing that the government take over the country, that doesnt mean that slowly our rights havent been taken away over the last 20 years. One step here, one step there, soon you know, the ultimate goal has been accomplished.

We are americans, and we are allowed to fight the taking of our rights and the demands placed upon us by our government. We will eventually lose, and when we do, the USA will stand for even less then it stands for today, which is a far cry from what it stood for 200 years ago.
