So what do you think? Will it be a success? I think it has a great chance. It'll take time, but the seeds have been firmly planted. I hope this brings about a new Republican party or a new conservative party.

I think he's trying to draw attention to the fact that the Republicans aren't really happy with their candidate, their party, or their country. Only a few "patriotic" souls remain in the GOP wholeheartedly. They're the ones who will not and cannot say anything negative about the President while he is fighting a war. They stand by and cling to their guns and religion and pray that everything works out for us. They don't question aloud even when they know the President is wrong. They've been taught that a tragedy upon this nation gives us the right to do as we please as we hunt down those responsible for those deaths. And they ate it up.
Even Ron Paul has a hard time letting go. I heard him just the other day say that he still supports the 2000 George W Bush - An humble foreign policy, integrity in the White House, no nationbuilding, no policing the world, an end to the empire, getting rid of the Department of Education because their kids aren't as smart as they should be, and a whole host of other issues. It's resonating with a lot of people who are really concerned about losing in November. They don't want to go back to the days of Jimmy Carter. That's what they keep hearing. They miss Ronald Reagan with a passion.
I think some, especially around here in NC, are finally realizing the mess they've gotten us into.
I don't really think he has a snowball's chance of winning, though.
This isn't about the nomination. It's about the future of our country and the Republican party. I believe he will suspend his campaign in order to free up the $5million he still has in the bank. He had no debt throughout his campaign.
How, exactly, will he accomplish that by not getting elected?
He's creating an option. As true Republicans grow more and more disenchanted with their party they will eventually turn to an alternative. He's creating the alternative ahead of time. He's creating the supply for the future demand.
The writer was special assistant to HW Bush. He coined the phrase, compassionate conservative. He knows how the GOP operates. I guess it really was just a conspiracy.
From an insider. The Republican party has lost its way. People don't like it when you tell them they're naked.
