Colin Powell, the former Republican secretary of state, says he is not ruling out a vote for Obama. Powell, speaking in Vancouver BC, said his support of McCain is not a forgone conclusion.

"I will vote for the individual I think that brings the best set of tools to the problems of 21st-century America and the 21st-century world regardless of party, regardless of anything else other than the most qualified candidate,"

"Both of them certainly have the qualifications to be the president of the United States, but both of them cannot be."

Hmmm..interesting to say the least.

I doubt that he would vote for Obama but I would not be too surprised if he did. I know quite a few lifelong republicans who will be voting for Obama simply because they think he is the best man for the job.

Of course! Plus he gives the game away by mentioning the 21st century twice

Obama is attracting people of all colors and from all walks of life, Colin Powell is just another sign that the American people are ready for some real change.

Colin Powell is a damn fine American. His comments I take very seriously. A nice feather in the cap for Obama, and a slap in the face to McCain.
