Democrats bicker as they try to heal - 06/14/2008 - MiamiHerald.com (broken link)

Quote:
The back-and-forth was mostly conducted behind the scenes -- until party activist Jon Ausman sent a blast e-mail late Thursday featuring obscenity-laced excerpts of e-mails he received from Kirk Wagar, Barack Obama's finance chairman for Florida. Wagar's e-mails rip Ausman -- and the state's top Democrat, U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, who had backed Hillary Clinton but supported Obama after he became the presumptive nominee.

The highlights of Wagar's e-mail: ``You [Ausman] f---ed us. We are dealing with it. You need to accept the fact that you f---ed us.''

And of Nelson: ``I am getting very sick of Nelson making a bad situation worse.''
Must have been the drive-thru. You always get f---ed at the drive-thru.

Florida is important to the next President. Maybe Obama can get them in line before the Republicans get the support.

Not a snowball's chance in Miami.

Of the Democrats I know here in Palm Beach County (one of maybe 5 traditionally solid "Blue" counties in the state), approximately half of former Hillary supporters have jumped on the Unity Pony. The others are abstaining or going McCain.

The DNC reeeeeallly F-ed up here!

Electoral vote projection as of 6-14 with Fla. going red:

Obama-304
McCain-221
Tied-13

Though it would be nice to have, Obama doesn't need Fla.

Oh my. Guess he should just go on an extended vacation then! It's over. He doesn't need to campaign. It's not like back in 2004 when Kerry led Bush by 10 points in May.

You assume that's the way it will turn out. I guess IF you add ALL the swing states in Obama's column your scenario would apply.

We can give Obama NV,CO,NM,IA.

We take MI.

McCain wins.

That doesn't take into account PA,WI,NH.

My only point in posting the projection was to illustrate that, unlike some conventional wisdom, Obama does not need to win Fla. to win the election.

BTW, under the scenario on the electoral map I posted, Obama can afford to lose Ohio or Mi, he just can't lose both. I also don't know why you are even mentioning Pa,Wi, Or NH, all three will easily go blue.

Not according to the polls. They are considered "swing" states this year.

Nice thought but I think it is way tooo early to predict anything. The polls really don't mean a thing right now. I would be interested in seeing them in September. I find it hard to believe that McCain will even come close in PA or WI
