If you will notice, I never said anything about "black people" only people in general. As usual it is not whites that interject race into everything, but blacks. I was speaking of all people living generation after generation off of welfare. You also do not know anything about my station in life so don't presume anything. I wish more people living off of the sytem would do better and advance themselves. It would benefit everyone in society instead of being a drain.

Well you all did a great job attacking Alexus. A bunch of bully behaviors, I would say!! Are you not the ones that we now currently study in the humanities and education field to find out what the heck happened to you in early childhood to determine why you must behave this way??? Where does this "follow our lead or else" attitude stem from people??? Look at the stages of development for infants, toddlers, younger youth, older youth, young adult, and determine what stages you did not experience or better yet what stage of development did not occur for you. So many of your replies indicate that many of you are in a foreclosed state of mind. How sad!!

Anytime a black person on this site decides to buck up against your racist outbursts, you decide collectively as a group that you will try to shut them down. Let Alexus speak her mind and stop wearing your heart on your sleeve. It is about time you peoples understand that blacks are going to continue to be vocal and genuine concerning their experiences rather you like it or not. It is good for our mental health and we need to sometimes say what we feel or believe and not be concerned about your derogatory comments or sensitive feelings. I for one am not and have spoke freely about what I feel to both black and white people. The key is knowing how to speak without offending anyone and with some folk, you will always offend them no matter how it may be said. You can change your tone, your facial expression, your body language, and they would still be offended. Get over it!!

I am an individual firstly and always, and by the way GOD made me all by myself. I did not come out my mothers womb with a whole gang of others. I am not easily controlled by mind games or sheer manipulation by others to think as they do. Never will I let my mind be controlled by those who believe or think they are the authority on every subject matter-black or white. I am not selling my soul out to the devil, I rather die first before I let any person black or white control my mind or my way of conducting myself. I think for myself and definitely will not solicit others to jump on board with me.

Many of you peoples on here are followers, there are very few leaders-but when the leaders post they do stand out. They get the rep points from me, so you know who you are.

There is no longer a generational welfare track for blacks or whites. Three years is the time limit and after that you must be able to prove a disability either physically or mentally that will extend your time to five years. I have been in this business for 17 years and I have served and assisted women both black and white who were welfare recipients. The majority of them were white, yet we also must keep in mind that there are more whites in this country currently than there are black, so it stands to reason that you would have more whites on welfare than blacks. Not sure how the numbers play out at this current time, but there are more people off the welfare roll since 1996.

The women have limits and they must get off welfare sooner or later. Too bad that the women have to abide by these regulations because they are directly involved with the govt, yet there is no concrete plan to ensure that men will meet their obligations to care for these children. They can be on the run for years or right there in the city and get away with not paying child support. WOW!!! Depending on what city and state, or county you reside in the outcomes are all different, but she the woman has to bear the costs of these children usually financially all by herself. Teenage pregnancy continues to decrease and this has happened because of education that is now provided for our youth and also knowing that the govt will no longer take care of generations of women who have made poor/accidental choices with men who have implanted their seed within her egg.

How do you know who is a black and who is not? How would anyone know what Alexus is?

What a load of diarhea of the mouth. I have worked in human services and I know families in their 4th and 5th gernerations of welfare and public housing. These limits you speak of are rarely followed through with. There is always another baby to feed another reason one cannot work. There is something wrong when a woman gets free childcare 40 hours a week and doesn't even work, free pubic housing, a welfare check and food stamps. Happens everyday and I don't care what color they are...nothing racist about it. People need to be made to take care of themselves.
